That's a horrible idea. What time?
I am 1600+ posts behind, so if this has been covered already, apologies.

Getting the state inspection this morning and I was told there is now a recall on the third brake light leak for the 18's.

If they only designed the double cab 3rd brake light like they did the access cab brake light then there would never have been any of these leaking issues. Shame on Toyota for not standardizing things like this.

There is this TSB: https://m.imgur.com/a/COCsLHq but it’s from 2018 and subject to the 3-36,000 warranty. I don’t know if there has been anything else to cover it since.

Not really, RLD is more of an upright cap while RSI got an angle. That's why I chose the RSI (didn't even get it yet:rolleyes:) over the RLD:p!

They actually fit quite well for seat covers and don’t move around at all. They are the best seat covers I’ve seen that don’t need to be professionally installed.

Took her in for her last free oil change and tire rotation.
This morning they call and say my special order parts have come in and I need to make an appointment to get them installed. I said I didn't order any special parts and she says "O, your service advisor didn't tell you? It's for the third brake light recall".
They ran her thru the car wash after servicing so I though, yeah, they found a leak. Just went out and looked at the headliner and there's no sign of a leak so I'm glad they mentioned it.

How long does it take for Toyota to fix a problem anyway? :bananadead:

Had to get the rearview reprogrammed after a new garage door and opener were put in a few weeks ago. After some research, the Homelink in the mirror needed a "bridge" in order for it to work. About $30 on Amazon.

The mirror came from Bob's Mirror (@RJP869).

Took me all of about 5 mins to do.

So if you recently got a new garage door and opener and your Homelink isn't working, might need the bridge.

Interesting. Is this due to newer technology in newer door openers?

    Yes.

The new garage opener has wifi built into vs. the 20 year old one that was there previously. The mirror operates on an older technology vs. new garage opener. You can download an app and open the garage door that way. However, signal in garage is pretty weak. Could be remedied with a signal booster. But I'm satisfied with the bridge.

    For now.
