Ultimate fix was loosening all body mounts and recentering the cab.

I picked up my 2021 SR5 longbed on 9/11. On 9/13 I dropped it at my local dealer for “ loud clunking when turning left under 5 mph”. I thought no big deal something in the right front suspension just needs to be tightened up. 4 days later we still don’t know where it’s coming from.

I have a seen a few other posts with similar symptoms but all seemed to aftermarket suspension.

I’m just using this to document and maybe a resource if others have similar issue.

Edit: 9/16 Dealer called saying they replaced
    right front UCA
    Strut assembly
    Sway bar endlink

I’ll be interested to hear what they find, I also have a 2021 SR5. No issues yet but thanks for posting, like you said good thing to put out there in case it happens to others.

I'd ask for it back and take it somewhere else.

What have they been doing for four days? Either fix the problem, or say you don't know, and return it. Keeping it in the shop longer isn't going to help them diagnose the problem.

Well it won't get fixed any sooner if the op has it. You hope the dealership is actually trying to find the issue by keeping it, and not letting it sit on their lot somewhere.

Can't be that difficult to figure it out. My guess is it's been sitting where the porter parked it 4 days ago

OP can take it to another shop.

If they haven't figured out the issue in four days, or determined that they don't know what it is, I don't think they're trying especially hard.

I'd be looking for a second opinion myself.

You may be happy letting them have it a few more days maybe but what would they be doing? Still just driving in circles around the lot?

I don't anything, but it shouldn't hard to find out what the problem is. People install long travel front suspension on the side of the highway on these trucks. Getting parts could be a delay. Maybe they need the new TRD UCAs to address the issue.

Go have a face to face visit with the Manager of the Service Department.

Express your concerns and ask questions. It does no good to go ballistic turning into a Ken.

If they are unable to diagnose and solve the issue, then retrieve the truck and visit another Toyota dealer. Be sure to get all the documents the current shop has to made to identify the problem.

I doubt it, it probably came straight from the factory.

They have replaced the right front UCA, strut assembly and swaybar endlink. Noise is still there

Exactly, I figure the clock a research would start all over again at another dealer. The dealer its currently at is the largest in a 50 mile radius so I assume they have qualified people.

They have been actively working on it replacing parts

If it was I dont recall hearing it. The noise is only there under 5mph turning left. After purchasing it I drove to my house 190 miles away

    Hmmm, interesting.

The other day while on a recon mission to locate/ find/ take images of some burrowing owls as I was leaving
out of a subdivision I had parked in I heard an odd clunk after a slow-n-go 90 turn. Radio was on so I couldn't
discern if it was front left or front right but I'm pretty sure it was in the front. Stopped, looked about, didn't see
anything fantastic, kicked the tires, turned off the tunes proceeded slow everything was good drove the rest of the day.
    Nothing since that time.

    SR6 V6 W4D totally stock.

Oh, I did get some killer shots of those owls...
