With my new to me 2018 Taco Sport... Figured it would be good to see if this particular dealership is decent or not in case I need anything in the future...

This is what my appointment is for, exactly as I filled out the online form:

It's next week - so we shall see :) Figured getting in with the "LIMITED SERVICE CAMPAIGN" and then asking for the ECU flash too was more likely to happen than the ECU flash alone :)

Good luck, they'll probably do it. It's been an issue with almost every single Tacoma owner since 2016.

    Good luck!

Although, the latest TSB for the 2018 ATs is very likely not the last that will be out. So far, it has been the last to see a TSB similar to the one for the 2019s and up. The 2016 / 2017 ECU update is out in the wild. We just don't have the software yet.

Not a bad test of the relationship though. I chose not to potentially sully it for my Taco and did it at home.

I have the cable and the tune pushing software in my cart. But I figured if the dealership will do it for free and it’s enough of a fix form me - that’s money to throw at something else for the truck!

otherwise - I will be doing it myself

That is a great approach. Hopefully it works out.

What was the ECU TSB for the 2019s? My truck lives at the dealership with TSBs. Brought it in because the blind spot monitors didn't work. They fixed that under a TSB, and said they'd need 2 days for the stop lamp. So I have to reschedule that one now. Before that it was the clutch, then the fuel pump, the list goes on. Haha
