I saw this at Overland Expo. Starts at $20K… and the one on display was something like $26K. ***edit*** the display tent was $31,500.

I’m guessing that includes lifetime warranty on parts & labor, home insurance, property taxes, and utilities. No HOA fees.

Not the coolest looking but with the iKamper 1.0 and KB Voodoo Hi-Rise bars I still managed 20+mpg on the highway between MN and Wall, SD at about 65mph. Actually driving in the Black Hills was more like 16mpg.

Has anyone had to repair their RTT? I have zero idea how this happened.

Talked to a guy at CVT, so hopefully that will bear some fruit.

Ouch. What did CVT say? Repair or send a new top panel?

Holy shiiiit. Is the other side of that panel accessible? Is it aluminum? One possible fix that’s sorta hokey is to hammer it from the inside to flatten it out the best you can. Then cut out a square of aluminum big enough to cover the gash and RTV it on. Throw on a few sealed rivets for good measure.

The first person I talked to in Oregon was zero help. I talked to a person in Vegas, and he seemed more promising. He claims they have a guy who repairs them all the time. Supposed to get back to me and let me know what he uses. He thought it was a fiberglass resin, but wasn’t sure.

However, I didn’t think about a new top panel. Will have to inquire. Good idea.

There does appear to be some aluminum involved. I hadn’t considered trying a repair from the inside. I do think it would be doable. I will explore that option. It would lessen the size of the hole.

    Thanks.

Find someone who welds aluminum. You could easily close that up and grind it flat. Would need new paint but would be closed up.

My tent fell off a stand when working on it and it punctured a hole at the bottom. Thankfully only the first layer of the aluminum panel.
I fixed it by adding Gorilla Tape

LOL! I’m hoping for a more permanent fix. I’m going to call an RV repair shop on Monday. I’m not getting a lot of traction from most places I’ve talked to.

Found what is seemingly the only spot in SoCal to be open last weekend @ Cachuma Lake and was able to snag a spot. Was a good weekend with the fam and DA Warrior XL

Got out for a few days and must say that the Dewalt job site fan is one of my best purchases to date. I have so many of those Dewalt batteries that I can keep the fan running at night for at least a week or two without issues. The fan works damn well and is quiet versus other fans I've tried in the past.
