Yeah kind of a pain but not too bad. I installed it this morning and looking forward to trying it out tonight on the way home from work. I went with the combo.

I'm glad to hear that. I'm at around 38,000 and was hoping they would take care of it. Hopefully my dealer is as helpful!

There was a TSB but they changed it to a full recall. So it should be free to get it done. no warranty needed

This is one of the reasons I went with a tonneau cover. I can just see some poor hillbilly without a bed mat peeking in the at mine while I'm parked at Walmart and thinking how easy it would be to grab it and throw it into the bed of his. :bananadead:

I put the Lomax hard tri-fold tonneau on today!
Picked this one for it's sleek looks and made in America.
What a piece of cake to install and, it can be removed in a few seconds with no tools.

A private tuner. For the install local fabricator that is building the rest of the truck.

It's not exact for blow by. It's more to collect the crank case ventilation vapors before they get recirculated back into the intake and burned (pcv system). The D4S has dual injection (port and direct) so it's not really needed as much because gas does get injected in the port behind the valves keeping them from getting coked up like direct injection only engines. You'd be surprised how much stuff they collect. I had a 2017 Yukon with the 5.3l V8 that had a JLT catch can and it had to be emptied once a month because of all the stuff it would collect.

Yeah, I don't think any of these steel or aluminum caps are "there" yet as far as looks go. A little more aesthetically appealing with color matched canopy, but that would have been 6-8 months out. The RLD in all black is a little fugly on the quicksand (or white) Tacoma. Less so on other colors. But this thing looks badass as well. Form follows function. This thing is bad ass. And I love the all welded construction of it. Feels like I could drop a Ford Focus on top of it and it would hold up.

Also thanks to a fellow member I ordered up an OEM bed mat for a deal and free shipping, got my Rago bed stiffeners installed, and I’m on the hunt for some long bed side steps in black. So much helpful input on this forum.
