personally i wouldve made a scene to the point of screaming and talking shit to him infront of everybody and everytime i walked in ther for a part id scream his name and remind everyone this guys a hack, but thats just me

 

@RN21 you should check out hatch Toyota in showlow. That’s where I bought mine and I had a really good experience.

 

Dealers suck in general. One told me recently that if they didn’t have the exact truck I want, I could put a deposit on an in-stock truck I don’t want. Then when the truck I do want comes in, they’ll transfer the deposit to it. I said nope.

I did sign all of the paperwork, they ran our credit (even though we weren't financing; we were giving them a check for full amount), and it was a done deal. I don't, unfortunately, have copies. I do have e-mails and texts, though.

I bought mine at Camelback. Called a dude and he said he had the exact truck there, ( saw it online called to confirm )...
Went down to test drive. Had a man-2-man chat about where I was, what the price was, blah blah he was straight up and said
these things sell in hours. They wouldn't hold it and no, I could not put down a deposit on it.

Went home, discovered I still had the damn key in my pocket, on the way out the door to return it
the wife handed me the checkbook and said don't come home without it.

This was about 6 months ago and things are even tighter.

Still, if you signed paperwork and they took money then you should have first refusal.

I signed the paperwork but they didn't take the money...wrote the check in front of the salesman. The salesman said to hold on to it until after the truck arrived. Yep, kicking myself for not taking pictures of all of the paperwork!

I've only been to one dealership in my life that would ever get my repeat business. Usually pretty safe to assume they are out to screw you.
