    Yesterday I purchased my 5th Toyota Tacoma.

    This one is a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road in sliver.

    Over the years I had a 2002 extended cab 4x4, a 2011 taco, a 2012 TRD Off Road 4x2 and the first from our local dealer to get a 2016 Limited 4x4.

    It was and I defected recently for a brief period with an F-150 and hated it, I couldn’t get back in a Tacoma fast enough

    I was in the military 23 years and moved a lot. The 02 was when I was in South Dakota and moved to Virginia and sold it beforehand. The 2011 should have been a double cab. With two kids I found out quickly I needed it. The 12 was fantastic but let my wife’s new Highlander with push start get the best of me so I was one if the first to get a 2016 in my area. I regretted it almost immediately because it had so many problems like the hood outer skin separating from the inner framing to the transmission was slap awful as it was constantly searching for gears and the sluggishness although still present in my 21 was horrible with the 16 so I consider it a lesson learned to never buy a first year of a new generation ever again; maybe not even a second year as it seems it took a while for the improvements to come along and it’s still not as good as the 2nd gen I had in respects to drivetrain performance.
