TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Got these in the mail yesterday. Urd heavy flywheel and stage 3 clutch. Total weight of the box was 72lbs. The fly wheel is one heavy bastard.

 

Meth injection is cooling the IAT far better than what that foam seal is trying to accomplish.

Yeah, that's what I figured as well. Also get a bonus increase in airflow!

 

It randomly turns on with the 2012+ trucks as the circuit is part of the emissions air injection system.

Maybe it's my computer, but how the heck do you navigate that downloaded manual?

 

unzip it, then use the index.html. select whatever you need to and it will open the PDF file

 

You guys think it would make a difference if I did a compression test with the supercharger off - open intake? I don't see it being an issue as long as nothing drops down the intake

 

That will work fine.

 

if it is off already then no. if you are worried about incorrect readings do to restrictions, wedge the throttle plate open. i would keep the belt on so the rotors spin.

 

Ahh... ok so the turn on noise is part of the air injection system... I thought it was part of the evap system, where it pumps a vacuum on the tank every great once and a while to check if there are any fuel tank or fuel vent line issues. Makes sense that I haven't heard it then! thanks!

 

Wow! Funny you post this. I’m actually about to buy a heavy duty clutch as the except HD clutch is shit and slips had when I’m in 4H and gunning it. Was about to ask if anyone has any advise on what flywheel I should get?
I’m looking at getting a 4terrain clutch. If that means anything to you guys.

Finally got a tracking number, arrives Saturday!

 

Guys….need a little help. Does someone here make the air injection tube block off plates? I have a Toyota part number however it shows discontinued everywhere and it looks like I can’t buy them.

edit…..does someone know the measurement bolt hole to bolt hole on our size. I may be able to find an off brand

 

Just hit up @Roostfactor he makes or at least made them.

If all else fails you can hit up Hewitt-tech as they should sell them as one offs.

Removal post install isn't that hard. The only thing that's a pain is the bolt on the back of the block holding the tube that runs back there.
