Has anyone with a 2021 TRD OR or Sport DCSB gotten an appraisal?

The reason I ask is because I don’t have the time to bring it into Carmax (or wherever) during the weekdays due to work and I’ve tried online but the websites always direct me to bring the car in.

If you have a similar vehicle and have gotten it appraised, please post your offer.

I’d imagine I’d lose money or the margins would be minimal on mine since it hasn’t been long since my purchase. I just want to scratch the “itch” and be done with it.

Should be able to get a quote from CarMax or Carvana online in no time. Just use a trash email.

    Oh look, another mod....
I haven't taken it in person to get an "official" offer.

But when I spec'd it out on Vroom & KBB I got: $34k offer from Vroom & $45k offer from KBB.

It's a 2021 Tacoma TRD OffRoad, 4wd, Dbcb, 6spAuto, with Leather, sunroof, multi terrain camera, front trail camera. All the bells and whistles. Oh, and 9,400 miles. It baffles me how they're so far off?

Edit: Carmax only does in person appraisals and never use Carvana, they will low ball the shit outta you.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Given the current vehicles availability & costs, what will you replace it with?
Some things are best not known.

If equity was high enough, I’d be willing to get a beater car and switch off between my motorcycles for commuting until the chip shortage lightens and car prices return to normal.

And, this won't return to normal until mid year 2023...
It's my job to figure out things like this.

It’s the busy season at work so it’s tough. Weekends are definitely doable, but I just started thinking about this mid-week so I thought I’d give TW a shot.

Not trying to be lazy, if I came off that way. If I can save 2 hours getting it appraised by reading about others’ experiences, it’s worth it to ask in my opinion.

Well although not *official* I just helped my Dad get his appraised by CarMax online earlier this week. Maybe it's different for different zip codes not sure. Regardless it's a good time to sell and decent time to buy if you can find that killer deal. I did a similar thing and found out my 21 OR has gained quite a bit of equity since I bought it new in Feb! Good luck with the decision OP!

Try more likes few years and you won't see normal again, but will see dealers order as needed. I watched a special on this topic on inventory and prices in the market. This could very well be here to stay.

If this is the case, it may be wiser to drive it a bit and check back in 6 months.

You will spend the profit replacing it or it may cost more in the long run. If you like your truck, serves you well, why sell. Carvana will do 42k on my 2018 with less than 20k on it. I don't want to sell or need to. I agree with waiting it out. You can replace it for what you sell it for. They make their money on financing it and can pay top dollar, try selling it on your own.
