I did a quick search for this, but couldn't find anything. My door sills are pretty beat up from boots, tools and dogs. I've touched them up a couple of times, but would like something more resilient down there. Would Line-X or Herculiner be too thick for my doors to close easily? Would I need to scuff the sill to make it stick? Seems like these products are pretty straight forward, I'd just like some opinions before I get in over my head. Thanks!

the herculiner will be fine............and scuffing the area up really well and cleaning with lacquer thinner is necessary prep for it to stick. it isnt to thick to mess with the door closing either. i plan on doing this along with my rockers when the weather warms back up. i already did my bumpers and tailgate!!:D

they make door sill protectors you can put on there.... http://www.trdparts4u.com/MC-BAHG-FIF.aspx

I have them sitting on my kitchen table, waiting on the weather to clear up to install.

That sounds like a pretty good idea. If I didn't have the sill protectors already I would try this one out. If you do it I would like to see it.

If not, you could always just trim it to fit.

Yeah I've seen those before, I just wish they covered the edge a little more. Just wondering if I could do better myself with a spray on.

It's like a textured, heavy duty sticker. Should cut with a good pair of scissors.
