Kurt: Hopefully you will stay dry today.

Greg: Nice family pictures. I had a chance to visit my younger brother and his wife this past weekend. We Facetimed both of their children during the visit. Quick visit because we were in town for a concert. We were able to meet thems for lunch then back to his home for a few hours. The weekend worked out to be a wonderful time.

Today is painting the Atrium door and not much more. Supposed to get up close to 90 degrees which means I will be painting by 07:30 this morning.

    Good Morning all!
The sun is shining, and Nicholas will bring our area nothing, Tom. Will have to water the yard Wednesday after all, but at least it's not 100*.
Nothing but a Zoom financial meeting today....

Hey, me too! A few weeks ago. Apparently there are 3 places they might get stuck on their way through the ureter. I felt two of them. The first one sent me to the ER, where it quickly became apparent that I would not be seen for 8 or 10 or maybe 12 hours. The pain had subsided, and the EMT said he was pretty sure it was kidney stone, so I walked out. ERs are in a sad, sad state these days.

    Good morning everyone!!

The boards we need to complete the outside of the stable are scheduled to be delivered this morning so Lynn and I will prime them so the contractor can hang them tomorrow. Then we'll put the final paint coat on them and be finished with the exterior repairs...for this year....I hope.

    Be safe out there!!

Doc's right. I've had a couple, one like Mark described, one while driving. Haven't had one for 10+ years. I stay hydrated to a fault sometimes, drink Pedialyte daily for minerals, electrolytes, at least 30 oz. water per day. Check for clear bowl every time. Before, I could get leg cramps, if on my feet all day. Does not happen now.

Today is a music lesson in the morning and smoking a rack of ribs in the afternoon. I also need to remove the paint from the patio door and clean the windows. Not a lot I am doing today.

    Greg great looking group!

Monday I was looking forward to my boxing class. Lunch didn't agree with me. I can not smell when things go south but had finished off some sliced turkey and avocado on a wrap. Well, something didn't agree with me, so it all came back up. Not good; I missed my boxing class which I hate.

Yesterday, still cool and dry. Try my best to rest and stay in bed until 7 AM. I took meds, got my coffee, went for a nice 2.2-mile walk. Still a little off after yesterday, but it always feels good. No falls, so doing great. Breakfast, work and opted for a short "push it as hard as I can" 10-mile bike ride. Easy rides are heart rate at 120 bpm, but the goal is to push it to 160bpm charging up hills—home for lunch, banana, and oatmeal (taking it easy).

The weather is good; the hurricane didn't come this far inland. I'd love to get in a four-day bikepacking tour or even get out and go camping for a few days, but I need to stay close to the house. So morning walks and bike rides.

The first EOB has rolled in, thankfully insurance and Texas laws working in my favor. Total billing to date is $298,000, but insurance paid negotiated rates, so about $100,000 was paid out. With early medical issues, we've meet deductibles and out-of-pocket for the year, so most of those paid at 100% and not too much out of pocket.

:pccoffee: Good Morning everyone! Off on a hunt for some slotted angle steel for the greenhouse today. Probably going to have to stop at EACH Lowe's and Home Depot and get one stick at a time. I ordered it from San Marcos, where they had "stock", but they cancelled the order. So, it's a road trip. Got to get more projects lined up!

Glad to hear you're getting out some, Tom. At least our non-storm brought some nice, dry, not to hot weather for a few days.

And I'll pass on all the stones! :rimshot:

Whew! Back from two weeks off and you guys (and gals) have covered a lot of ground. Its 1200 miles to my sisters house over in Missouri - and a lot of "windshield" time in the Taco for a two way trip. Between there and Tucson - there are a lot of roads in need of serious repair!

Good morning everyone. More rain here yesterday slowed down the painting process for the stable boards. Decided to push the contractor back to Monday - he's going to a wedding tomorrow so only had today for this week - to give us time to get them done right. Did I mention I hate painting?

According to the paperwork I got at the ER it told me to stop screening for the kidney stone 24 hours after the pain ceased...which was on Sunday. Last night as I was standing in the bathroom I could tell there was something there that wasn't liquid coming down the stream. Managed to get the stone and will take it to the urology appointment I have tomorrow morning. Those things are sharp!

    Be safe out there!

Yesterday was an easy one. Today should be easy too. Music is amped up on the theory side. Started to learn about 7th chords and how to figure them out in all the major and minor keys. I am glad that I started an Excel workbook when the guitar class started to dive into the theory of music as it applies to the guitar.

The ribs came out great yesterday. I did a competition trim to even out the cooking of the main rack.

I just bought another Cigar Box Guitar Kit.
Being retired may get me to bite the bullet and actually start to sit down and start practicing.
A acoustic kit but will make allowances to add a pickup later.

Glad you passed the stone! I can relate, I had one of those at around age 40, worst pain I’ve had in my life. Went to the ER and got an IV for fluids and they gave me morphine, that made me high but didn’t do a thing for the pain lol. about 2 hours later I passed it, Dr said it was one of the biggest he’d seen. Pain was gone instantly then, huge relief.

Those ribs look great Tom. I aspire!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch! I was able to get all my steel in only 2 of 3 stops. So, not bad. Came home and ordered hardware, so I have a thing for next week. Not much leftover on my list though, so looks like an easy day.

Good morning everyone. I primed another 15 clapboards yesterday - 9 to go. The contractor will be here on Monday to put them up on the stable.

I have a follow-up urology appointment this morning for the kidney stone. Then I'm playing golf with the group of former military guys. Hopefully, we'll avoid any thunderstorms.

    Stay safe out there!
