You win. I think I’ve washed mine about 5 or 6 times now since getting it in 2017.
That’s a big factor on why I don’t wash mine. It lives outside.

The other factor is I just don’t care. The wife’s car (fam hauler) has only gotten roughly twice the washes as my truck. And we’ve had it since 2016 and is in the garage nightly.

All said, I applaud you folks who take the time to keep your rides pristine. Just ain’t for me.

I agree. If I ever get my dream garage with enough space, I’d be much more willing to keep the truck clean and shiny.

All you cleaning guys would flip if you saw the truck I use for work sometimes. It’s filthy, even by my standards.

I pretty much expect anything that is a dually to be dirty. Take that as you will.

Too many to list. I’m lazy
So I did some research on sponsorships in general a while back to see if they were worth perusing or not and what I found was that almost all sponsorships are basically “mutually beneficial” relationships with products provided at a heavy discount. Products are very rarely ever offered for free for sponsorships. With that said, I applied for a sponsorship and was accepted. The terms of the contract are clear but cannot be divulged. I post, they share.. it’s a win win. What I see as a result is exposure to more people and exposing the product to more people in an attempt to have a larger audience that may me more enticing for other companies that might be looking for a person to sponsor and maybe at a much deeper discount or possible free. In my head it’s a ladder. Step one is paying a discounted rate for exposure and more followers. The top is a world where your name is known and companies come to YOU and ask you to promote in exchange for much deeper discounts or a much higher incentive.

I will say that the stipulations for most sponsorships are quite are quite time consuming and do require a lot of attention but could potentially pay off for you in the long run.

hope all of this makes sense and might help in your decision making process.

Check out that bead action. Nice round ones. That's a ceramic coating on top of PPF. Works the same.

One thing on your Supra that makes me cringe every time, and it isn't the paint job. I bet you'd gain some horsepower if you took that preposterous front plate.

That's pretty much what I've seen except they want you to like everything they post, but I'm not sure they like everything you post. I'm still intrigued by the idea. I'm just not in love with their execution. @MDB Taco has me thinking its like Mary Kay for dudes.

For comparison, here is some bead action with just Meguiars Gold Class wax that was applied 2 weeks ago.

You can see in your hood pic that the beads are starting to not be uniform. This is a sign that the wax coating is wearing off. You want near perfect "circle beads" that literally shed off with vehicle speed vs un-uniform beads that seem to cling to the surface more. I'll try to get a video of how my hood sheds water when I leave my work parking lot today. (not hating on your wax Cowboy, just giving a honest comparison). From what I've read about ceramic coatings, the surface area for which a bead of water sits in the vehicle is much smaller than a traditional wax. Think of it like an under inflated tire (more surface area/more traction) vs an over inflated tire (less surface area/less traction) for the water to cling to the surface (Also from what I understand, the new Graphene coatings do this even better than Ceramics). That's why the beads look and behave different.

Also, other things to mention: chemical resistance is much higher with ceramics. I had an instance not too long ago with my wife's GMC Acadia where the gas pump didn't pop when the tank was full and it overfilled. Gas came out and ran down the side of the car. Went home and sprayed some waterless car wash spray on it and it still beaded up where the gas got on it. Regular and Hybrid waxes would have been removed completely. I could go on and on about it but ya'll have probably stopped reading this a few sentences back lol.

Do you work for a product company? I have never seen you on here before. It appears you got some knowledge in the subject.

No hate received. I like the gold class wax and got it before I became more curious about the ceramic stuff. Even the Meguiars hybrid ceramic spray does a better job at beading and lasts longer than the gold class wax.

It's really incredible to think what has changed in the automotive detailing world over the last 5 years or so. High quality products are coming down in price and what was top of the line a few years ago is being outdone by a spray that applies easier and lasts longer than a traditional wax. If that sort of thing interests you, it's quite exciting to think about.

That's why I'm excited to try the ceramic coating. I want to experience first hand what I see people online rave about.

It is unlikely that I will finish that container of gold class wax. I put it on because I did an iron remover and needed to apply something. It was right there and I figured I should give it a go since I've been using the hybrid spray the last few times. Really is a difference.

I don't work for any detailing company or in the vehicle industry. My industry is actually health and fitness. However, I've done some car detailing on the side in my 20s and I've been a member on other truck forums and I've picked up stuff other the years. I also watch product reviews on YouTube and the torture tests comparison on the different coats. Don't know why it fascinates me but it does.

    Same.

I'm Cyber Security by profession, but have always loved vehicles and detailing. Did that as a side hustle in HS and that's how I saved up for my first car.

Detailing is a lot like painting. It's all in the prep work. Also, it's oddly satisfying to take something that is dirty and make it look new again. But personally, I like to ease of maintaining with the better ceramics and graphene products. You don't have to worry as much about water/chemical/bug gut etching. The gloss is awesome and they generally stay cleaner and protected longer. Ultimately, graphene will be out performing ceramics in every way. If I didn't already have the Adam's Ceramic Coating kit when I got my Tacoma I would have bought their new Advanced Graphene Coating. They advertise it as a 7 year coating. Ceramics are like 3-5 year. The Adam's Graphene Spray that I've mentioned before is pretty awesome stuff for not being a true graphene coating. It's like a diluted version but its more forgiving and can be applied easier but it only lasts about 12 months. It's chemical resistance is pretty good too. I've used it on wheels and it still beads water and allows for easier cleaning of the wheel after many wheel cleanings.
