My old man if nothing else is a 1911 guy. He likes Kimber but they are pricey. He loves his stainless Springfield with a 4.5 lb Videki trigger probably the best, with his Colt right there.

I have a subcompact Sig 1911 that is beautiful, two tone, cherry grips but having a shorter barrel lacks accuracy outside of 25 feet or so. It's my "everyday" currently.

That might work too but I kind of lean towards the more solid under barrel look of the other types I mentioned.
I've been prodding a friend a little here and there about parting with his S&W.

Yeah the price on the Kimber that I seen today used was $1,500.00 but a very nice looking pistol.
The last 2 used pistol I purchased was a H&K USP 40. That pistol has a solid feel like rock solid dependability, the other a LE trade in S&W 40. I shoot the S&W much more accurately for whatever reason. I bought a couple boxes factory loads to try in that H&K.
Haven't got around to trying them.

Think I have a something or other...P89 maybe. You mention a little different shooting and that made me think that it could very well just be practice with that HK. I just found it odd to shoot reloads through both of them, different powder charges in the mix with both, and altogether more accurate with the used $279.00 SW go figure

Yeah its hard to explain. But it seems delayed recoil or the heavy slide. Its not the same feel as a Glock or XD. Its not a bad shooter, just odd

It would be even better if someone would buy this thing! Or trade.

Only 2 hours and 20 minutes before the weekend starts!

If only East Tennessee was 2 hours and 20 minutes drive, I'd be on my way to take that off your hands!
