Also curious. I was given some Checkered Flag balance beads last year and simply didn't know if they are any good. I know lots of jeeps use them.

How do balance beads play with TPMS sensors?

I just did my (hopefully) final winter wheel swap with a set of 3G TRD Sport wheels. Half the reason I got the set I got was that it came with TPMS sensors. I got this to play around with:

    https://www.amazon.com/ATEQ-Quickset-Activation-Reset-Cable/dp/B08GDWF74C

So I'm curious on how it will work for what I want to do. In theory that will let me swap between both sets of tires without issue which whill be awesome since I usually only drive about 5,000 miles each season so I can utilize that for rotations since the 3G uses sensors with actual pressure outputs.

The beads do fine with sensors. They give you new valve stem guys, not sure why, but they seem to do fine.

A few months ago I had the pleasure of doing some driving for a buddy who does film production. The filming was for Toyo Tires and looks like some of the footage of my truck made it into the commercials. All of the vehicles in the ads are all owned by everyday folks too!

I can’t recall now... some ceramic beads from Amazon! I’ve also used the o’Reillys brand in my Jetta. They’re awesome.

they give you a longer valve core, so in the beads don’t get into the stem and foul it up. Thousands of miles later, and nothing to report.

They do a different valve essentially one you can remove and put beads in. The beads are on the outside while the sensor is on the inside (rim vs tread) so you won't have have problems really. As you speed up they crowd to the outside to fill the balance. As you slow they stop getting enough force to go all the way around and will settle out. They don't come crashing down from the top - your wheel would have to be going full-tilt to nothing for that to happen. If that happens we got bigger issues.

Im just running stock tires now but if and when I get some E loads I'll probably get beads in those.
