I am trying to avoid the dealer. They never answer when I call. It must be madness in person, but it seems like it’ll have to do.

They have websites too. I bought my 2020 trd pro taillights from Treasure Coast Toyota in Florida and had them shipped to my house.

Bam and Olathe are usually a little cheaper. The Parts dept at the dealer is probably the most easy going portion of any dealer. I bought the bed mat locally (don’t want to pay for shipping on that) and it was the standard $80.

My local dealer treats me right. Always willing to deal on the price and frequently has 15% off coupons.
Just picked up a set of 2nd gen step tubes for a DCLB. Showed them the lowest price I could find online (NOT Amazon either) and asked what he would do.
15 min later I had them in the bed of my truck for less than I could have got them shipped plus tax from the least expensive place I found.

serra toyota in Decatur, Al. has been my go to since buying my Taco. Best prices I've found and Eric is great to work with. I'm 90 miles away and have ~5 dealerships closer... if that tells ya anything.

Sparks Toyota is where I usually end up ordering. The other that comes up regularly in my Google searches is McGeorge Toyota.

They have a list of participating dealers in your area with a local part pickup (free shipping) and some discount

I’ve been ordering from Wesley Chapel Toyota here in Florida. They seem to have everything discounted and free shipping on orders over $75.

I'm partial to ToyotaPartsDeal but it seems like all these part sites are basically identical and use the same software, so the only differentiator is price and stock.

TPD generally has prices that work out lower than other places, even with shipping included -- at least for larger orders. Ordering 10 bolts will still get you worked over on shiiping charges.

They also ship fast and pack everything well. They're where I picked up both sets of TRD Pro rims and a laundry list of other parts.

Any idea why? Did they mess up big time or something?

I have bought from several online Toyota parts houses over the years for multiple Toyotas. While you may find better pricing at one for a particular part, be aware that a shipping difference could kill that savings.

I also found that my local dealer parts guy will normally match prices on a printout I take him from another legit Toyota dealer, and I have no shipping to pay, even if they order the part in. This is a big deal on heavy stuff like bed mats.

OTOH, sometimes (not all) there is no sales tax on online purchases, but there will be at your local dealer.

So yeah, it's not a 'just call Saul' deal. If it's an expensive part or set of parts, it's worth some investigative effort.

I've ordered several things from Sparks Toyota in SC and been impressed with the quality & speed of service. Most parts were on my front porch in NH withing 3 days of ordering!
