Those videos of Chandler Smith's mom yelling at him are hilarious.

He sure married young enough to be Amish! He’s from Talking Rock, so the teen scraggly checks out.

Unfortunately it has a lot to do with contracts with track owners. The only way Nashville got a date is because the owner of Dover owns Nashville and opted to give up a date from Dover. The Rock is not owned by one of the major track companies they use so getting a date will not be easy.

Some argue the racing at the Rock wasn't that great but considering how long it has been since we races there last, it's not hard to see that a lot has changed so the racing would likely be a lot different.

The Rock was great. It was Darlington with a dogleg. Turn 1 was SO tight. Like Darlington, each turn had a different angle to it so drivers could set up their car to be good at one end and not hood at the other, which made for lots of passing. The trucks races there within the past decade and put on a good show but not enough folks came out for them to do it again. Now there’s the washout and infrastructure issues under the stands that would need a big fix to be approved by building inspector & fire Marshall.

The last few races at the Rock literally went down to the final lap.

Texas Motor Speedway bitched and that was it for the Rock.

I am not a fan of TMS. I hate that the all star race is running at Texas.

The Rock has been getting renovated and is set to host racing later this year. They've stated their goal is to bring large scale racing back. I'd love to see it return! It's like Richmond but actually has high banking. Of all of NASCAR's nostalgic tracks the Rock is the closest to being able to host events again. Although who knows if the scoring loops are put in or not though.
