Harleys are overrated.

When I was in college I "borrowed" my old man's Sportster 1000. I was having a grand time until I got it on a narrow country road with a 70 mph speed limit. So I was doing 70, and I met an oncoming 18 wheeler, also going 70. When he passed by with that massive wake on his tail, I involuntarily popped a wheelie. Nope, no thanks, nah. I got that front wheel set back down, pulled a U-Turn and motored it right back home.

Ive rented a scooter or two since then, but haven't had the desire to get back on a real two-wheeler.

 

Damn Texas, way to make deliquent fines sound cool.

I kinda want my registration sticker to be branded with "county scofflaw." That's not a deterrent, that's badass.

 

Its Friday and I get to go pick up my littles ones from Kindergarden. They dig it when I pick them up.

 

I didnt really care for Lunar Mist...until I saw a 4R yesterday in that color.

 

It's way different than the photos portray it.

 

Florida is so wonderfully weird...I lived there for a couple years in the mid 80s.





Mini Story Time

I worked with a Cuban-American...good guy and great friend.
His last name was Ross.
I asked him once, that's not a very Spanish sounding name.
He said, there was a Scotsman in the woodpile a ways back.

 

I've wanted a 4R since I was 16, maybe that will be my retirement present to myself although they'll probably be $150k by then.

 

I bet the mid 80s were a wild time on south Beach.

 

That was pretty weird. If he hadn’t turned himself in, he might have gotten away with it.

 

He meant he lives there now. In his mid 80s!

Equally wild. I've seen how some of them retirees dress in the keys! I didn't want to see it, but I seen it.

I’m thinking of buying a jeep. A black jeep. Just so I can get a custom license plate for it…
