Came in this morning and these parts were here, they get 2 drilled and tapped holes and 6 drilled and countersunk holes. Did the 2 tapped ones by hand with a fixture I made and hand drills. There’s 150 pieces, since my math suffers on fridays I think that’s close to a million holes o_O

i really want you figuring out my hours for payroll. I could retire in much better shape.

1200 holes is quite enough if your drilling by hand

Looks amazing but that spring is upside down. It's never going to work that way.

I only had to drill and tap the 300 by hand, setting mill up to do the other 900

In a Simpson roll top case, made of Baklite just like the meter.

You have to pay attention using one of these - there is no auto ranging, you select it with the dial and then read the appropriate scale on the "Taunt Band Suspension" display.

Damm that’s a shitty part to make!
Could you have put the turned round in the vice and milled the key part hanging out on of vice on the x axis?
It’s cut below tangent of the round so no real good option of holding.
Guess if the bigger round had a good square shoulder pending what you have for parallels maybe just use that part in the vice?
    Hell of job anyway!!!
Also 300 holes drilled and tapped manual I’d have covid did you center drill also?
    Very nice!

I did not center drill the tapped holes in the plastic, they weren’t critical. They get a plastic screw for a tether is all.

We did have a rotary phone and our tv got 4 channels with a rotary dial and it was black and white also. With aluminum foil on the rabbit ear antenna.

The interesting thing being it was a 1860`s farm house with no electric no plumbing or central heat.

The electric and water was in the milk house as well as the phone . You just had to love the party line

It was not till 1968( I was 12 ) that electric and water was run into the kitchen in fact Mom got a whole new kitchen

Who would have thought back then in our lifetime our cell phones that work pretty much everywhere and are computers, w/internet, flashlights, calendars, cameras, tv, banking, music etc.
    Would be important to have!
I’ll be late for work and go back to get it if I forgot it.
