Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along

If not for needing a cell phone and internet for work I would not have one.

It just might be going away come first of the year .

    When my phone becomes obsolete

You’ve got me by a decade but I really don’t go far without mine.
I like that mom the kids and the wife can get me if needed.
Lol I pay for the plan and they are on it!
My dad has passed so I like being available for mom.
I don’t get many calls but do text, email, and surf the internet.

We had a wall mounted rotary when I was knee high to a grasshopper. It definitely didn't have 25' of cord though

    Sounds about like a million.
I have used a tap device before and would like to have one for the shop. If Google tap table with articulating arm you'll see. I can't remember exactly how the thing was geared but from what I recall, it was little more than a air die grinder body.

When my mom bought her house when I was in 6th grade (2002 or so) there was a rotary phone mounted on the kitchen cabinet. You could reach pretty much the whole 1800 sq foot home except for the back bathroom with the cord. It was always tangled and you tripped over it every time walking by. We used it up until about 2010 or so when she remodeled. It’s now hanging in my dads garage. Keeps saying he’s going to hook it up but so far hasn’t.

The last rotary dial phone that I used was at my grandmother, grandfather's house. I know they still used it in the early 80's and I recall dialing it was a art.

The first widespread use of rotary phones was in the 1910-20 era, Simpson introduced the 260 meter in the late 1930's.
This one is probably 1960's vintage.

We had a party line with the people across the street, their calls didn't ring at our house or ours theirs.
To call each other we didn't use the regular phone number, instead we dialed a code number and hung up then both phones would ring.

My grandmother lived out in the country with a 10 house party line, all the phones rang for every call. "Her ring" was 5 longs and a short if I remember correctly, been a just few years...
