What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I really don't know why more people aren't rocking rocktrix on their 2nd gens like us. The price, the style, you can't go wrong.

 

I am in the market for a topper next.

 

I hope you didnt use some cheap o’reillys Or napa brake pads, they will worn your rotors out.

 

you really need to get out more.. Although I have a '14 with just over 33,000 miles on it. Won't mention how many miles my '07 has.

 

I’ve had my 2010 for just over two years now and maybe 11k miles in that time.

 

I've had my '08 for almost exactly 2 years now, purchased with 92,xxxx on it and I just rolled over 125,000mi. It's been on a few trips under my ownership.

 

Mine is not a DD though. I mostly drive a Prius or I would have more miles on the taco. Although I don’t get vacation with my job. I would otherwise still have more miles.

 

Drive it everyday, but my job is only 7 miles from home.

 

Bought a 2008 last month with 83k miles. I am retired. We fly to the family place in Florida and don't drive to it. So mostly local driving. I figure I will be due for my 100k service sometime in 2025.

 

Installed Bilstein 6112 setup on the 5th clip giving me 2.5 inches up front. 5100 shocks in the rear with a 1 inch block. Truck drives absolutely amazing and alignment came out to near perfect without upgrading UCA. Any higher, I will have to replace them. I did not have a taco lean before or after installing these 6112s. I am currently running 265/70r17 but I now have room for bigger tires of I decide. Highly recommend this setup!!

 

Hey guys.
I have an annoying problem for months when filling my gas tank.
It takes me 15 - 30 minuts to fill up the tank, very slowly, with the nozzle just on the beginning of the mouth of the filler neck.
If I insert the nozzle into the neck, it clicks off every 5 sec. and finally the gas flows back to the outside (on my hand, my pants , and damaging the painting)

So, I read a lot on Internet about these issue, about the vent system, the canister saturated, etc.....
And I decided to disconnect all hoses from the canister.
This morning I've filled up the tank very easy, and it fueled very nice.

I've ordered 2 UNI filter to put on the top of the hoses , to allow the tank to breathe.
Meanwhile I've placed a little foam to let the stuff breathe and avoid dust to penetrate.
I'll let you know how it works.

 

Put on a new hub assembly today before it rains

 

Changed my oil greased the drive shafts and my suspension, found my sway bar end Linknis.broken. and baught a off road jack

 

Redline hood struts and an iceco fridge slider. Installed some rivet nut inserts fornthe slider.

Next job is sending the injectors out for refurb. Should have done that while the engine was apart but I didn't think about it.

 

Comms are in... well until I drop more $ into a dash mount...

Cat. In Canada we don't have the pro eagle so apparently I found this one

 

Just a wash with the foam cannon today . Did the wife’s RAV4 also . Got to get under the Tacoma tomorrow, got some creaking and a slight rattle of some sort
Will spray the Dakar’s down and look for the source of rattle .
