In Florida I'd be willing to bet hurricane shutters.

Good point. I forget that some people live in hurricane territory.

Thought I would post this here for anyone else that might see this problem. Wife was complaining the front load washer is giving a F9 or E1 error code which also locks the door and you can’t open it. It’s really easy to fix. Took about 15-20 minutes. Take off all the bolts on the back around the outer edge and don’t forget the one in the middle. Sorry I don’t know how to post pictures with the information above them so I have to do them separately.

Take these plastic clips off the 4 corners and the back should come off. Don’t forget the one bolt in the middle.

Looking inside from the back you can see the plastic pipe attached to the pump. Put something under it to catch the water and reach in and turn the handle on the end of it and it will pull out a odd plastic filter.

Didn’t get a picture off all the crap that was in it but, if it looks clean than the pump is on its way out. Push it back in and turn to tighten it. There is a plastic tab that will let you know when it’s fully tight. Put the cover back on and your good to go. Don’t know why they couldn’t put this sticking out the back to make it easier.

Are you going to keep the rest of the area open to the garage climate or is this a separate area entering from a conditioned space?
