I installed it yesterday (you have to do a minor modification for it to plug in), and then shortly thereafter drove two hours in the dark back to my station. It is vastly superior to the factory bulb.

Does driving it count? Finally saw the TRD badge (white) on Etsy in stock and I finally got it in the mail last week so I placed it on the grill day before yesterday. Matches the hitch cover from the same seller perfectly

Debadged the Bedside sitckers and refilled the grill ring. Apparently 2 years of p-dip on a grill does not peel. Had to scrap it off. So much fun

 

Made some brackets to tie eye bolts down to the bed frame and picked up a FWC.

Yes. I did the install on my friend’s 2017 Tacoma. Just make sure you buy the right part# for the short or long bed.

 

All I will say is that @memario1214 from Hotshot Offroad can hook you up with them when you’re ready to pull the trigger!

 

Did they change the XB?

I have a pair of Gen2 from my last truck and swear the DRL is white (they're not installed on the current truck yet or I'd confirm that.) They're for sure Gen2 because they've got the startup sequence.

 

Good question, Morimoto has an option for amber or white now on the Gen2.

Got tired of waiting on MESO to get their puddle pods in stock so I bought some V1s from @darkside2k19 and finished up the install last night.

 

Nice. I did the same a few months ago but on my bravo. I wish I would have went with amber, especially for spring and summer months. I have an extra set of the meso pods and may get a set of amber and switch out when the bugs are out in full force. White for winter only and I should have known better. And you are spot on about brightness.
