Floor padding question

For various reasons my yota sat in a barn for several years. The mice fuckered the interior up in that time. I'm replacing the carpet as a result. Vinyl ftw. I can not, for the life of me, figure out a part number for that hard ass crap affixed to the floor below the carpet. What is it and anyone know where I can buy new stuff? Any superior replacement for it?

That stuff is a pain to remove, I'd acetone wipe everything and use any kind of sound proofing popular with the car audio guys. Anything made by sky high car audio, kill mat etc will be ok. Just put it over whatever is there.

Maybe do the back of the cab, the inside of the door skin and the roof.

Unless the material is soaked with mouse piss, you can leave it and do like others have shown. If you have to remove it, use heat. Either a heat gun or a plumbing torch and scrape it off.

this is the foil lined stuff, it sticks directly to the metal and old tar junk that is pre-existing (though I suggest getting as much of that off as you can). Pre-clean everything with denatured alcohol or acetone. You need to use a roller to push it down and get it to stick. I also have my doors lined with 2-3 layers of it, which makes a huge difference, probably more than doing under the carpet.

This is what I put on as a second layer, it looks like foam. However it seems to be discontinued. There is a thicker version available, Noico Red.

Oh yeah, I taped some of the edges with that Dynamat tape. Learning from that, I would actually use 3M flashing tape now, much better value and much better tape. used some to patch my washer reservoir. Also great for when you do the doors, to tape a new plastic liner in.
