Anyone have close up pics of their camera mounting solution? Hard to see in most of these pics exactly where/how it’s mounted.

I didn't like the look of the TSS slapped right up against the grille. It was too visible.

Great alternative for those not wanting to see the sensor.

Sorry, but I didn't photograph it during the assembly.

It went together with JUST the parts that AJT supply. No need for any additional parts. I removed the OEM outside temperature sensor from the support bar and zip-tied it (using an AJT supplied zip-tie) to the wiring bundle to the left of the support bar. Used the hole left in the bar for the AJT bracket. It went in perfectly using the AJT hardware. Took care to make sure it was level left to right before tightening. Finished my grill install and tested the collision and cruise functions. Everything works as it should without any errors or alarms.

I have this grill never installed with mesh for a 2019 with TSS located in SD. If anyone’s interested let me know, I also have a OEM Black trim piece, and Toyota emblem that I will include.

Ordered this grille can’t wait to get it installed. Does anyone know where to get these style pro letters? All the ones I found are the ones that slip over and attach with screws to the pro grille. I want to go with a raised letter look. I ordered a set of these because they were cheap hoping I can separate the black backing and just use the silver letters I will keep you guys posted.

I'd recommend going with the Pro Letters from the 4 Runner. They are peel and stick.

I doubt you would even notice the black backing.

The black backing has slits around the letters to slide over the pro grille. Going to wait until I get them and try both ways with or without the backing

I 100% agree with you that the Pro letters look better and it can be done as I've done it. I shaved down the black backing...would not recommend it for the average customers but feel free to give it a try. I'd recommend trying it first the backing as I think it could actually look good.

I just try to keep things simple for customers with the 4 Runner Pro Letters that are peel and stick. As the Tacoma Pro letters will be a tab more tricky to install.

Also here's a pic of what it looked like with the Tacoma Pre Letters when I shaved off the backing.

Looking forward to how it turns out and what you come up with to install them.

    Hey Tacomaworld,

I'll be doing a BlackFriday/Holiday Sale for a short period of time and will be doing the following on the grilles.

    1. 2016-2017 Grilles will be reduced from $220 to $195 shipped!
    2. 2018+ Grilles will be reduced from $240 to $200 shipped!
    3. Mesh for both the 2016 - 2017 grilles and the 2018+ grilles will be reduced from $75 to $65.

If you have been thinking about getting this grille, now is the best time.

Prices are live on the site www.x-trek.com

Also I have made a few changes to the grille for ease of customer implication.

    1. There is now an option to order vinyl lettering for the grille so it will be plug and play for only $12.
The lettering will just happen to allow you to spell "Toyota" and "Tacoma" in the badge area along with a border that fits the grille.

    IMG_5489.jpg

    2. I have changed the metal brackets that fasten the TSS sensor so now they can auto level while still being adjustable. As a few customers did have some trouble getting the sensor to sit level.

I'm wondering if the mesh will attach to my factory 2020 SR grille. Any thoughts?

Hard to say, I've never tried it. Although I'd prefer not to sell the mesh separately if I can.
