Are there any dobinson mra options that would be a 12” travel that would work with h a BAMF kit?

No, no 12" rear shock options by Dobinsons for a Tacoma. The longest are the MRA59-A941's, 16.5″ compressed length, 26.9″ extended length

@Crikeymike A 12" shock wouldn't be specific to the Tacoma it would be a universal fit with eyelet on both ends. I think that's what @bfaris1 is asking about.

I figured he might have been asking that too, but internal valving, body size, bushing size, and all that play into it, and I don't get into that. Dobinsons makes heaps of different length shocks, but will only warranty something that is made specifically for a vehicle model.

Are these numbers still the best base-line?

Any suggestions or changes for gravel wash-boards roads?

    jstemp,

On the driver side, how did you bolt the reservoir bracket to the frame? Just installed my MRA kit over the past couple of days and the driver side frame has such little accessibility due to the fuel tank? Yours looks pretty clean.

On the drivers side I mounted the reservoir forward of the tire by drilling and tapping the frame for 5/16-18 x 1/2"long bolts to mount the bracket.

My buddy and I just put mine on yesterday. Pretty straight forward. Only had to drill one hole for the passenger rear reservoir too, ha.

Just for clarity, I read in the manual, to set the LSC and HSC, you spin them both all the way out (counter clockwise) and then turn them in (clockwise) to your desired setting? Do you do the same with rebound? or is that reversed?

So back them all the way out and then tighten as needed? What holds the rear rebound screw in? Or is captive?

It's captive, you can only back it out so many clicks.

Sweet! Thanks! Any idea what size that bearing is on the fronts? My mechanic and I somehow managed to lose 3 of the 4, ha.

I don't, I also lost 1 and my kit didn't have any spares. I've been just counting the turns lol. Maybe @Crikeymike can help you.

Ya, that's what I've been doing too. Mike referred me to Dobinsons. They had to reach out to their Australia office to get answers. Nothing yet.

I have clicks with the rebound screw that has a bearing and spring in it. Nothing from the one missing the bearing.
