Hey guys, does anyone have some info on where they're getting their oil feed from on the 2tr-fe? i am planning on making my drain to the upper oil pan on the passenger side, but the oil feed im having a little more trouble finding info on

 

Negative. Not that he didn't send it, to be accurate. Something with scheduling or timing, just didn't work out. Been a while, and I don't remember, without going back through the PM's.

Let me clarify some more. Scheduling or timing on both our behalves. No biggie. I had honestly forgotten about it until you mentioned it. I'll get back around to it, in Oct.

 

If only HPTuners would come out with the software for the 2TR's, that would really open up some market for aftermarket. On the more simple builds that is.

I’m using one of the oil filter bracket ports.

 

Hey yeah fuck that guy.... I forgot to ship it but it's on its way now.

I used a t fitting off the oil pressure sensor.

 

So I have a question for you guys. The 1uz knock senses suck and are prone to breaking. They are a single pin sensor so they use the body of the engine for ground. There are cheap replacements but are super hit or miss for quality.


Do you think I could use something like a 2 pin Bosch knock sensor and just ground the ground pin to the block?

Oem or gm equivalent. You would need to use another 1pin knock sensor.The modern ones read a bit different.

 

Prepped up the truck for some desert wheeling next week. That turbo sound never gets old. I'll take the gopro in case I see anything cool.

Idk about other applications but the 3GT will require one 45 deg fitting (driver side) and one 90 (passenger).

 

Need some sage wisdom regarding silicon couplings.

I’m getting ready to install a Procharger and need to mate it up to the 70mm dual VVTI throttle body.

I attempted a test fit off the truck and it’s going to be a bear trying to force the 76mm (3”) coupling over the 80mm (3.15”) housing with a 82mm flare.

Will the other end of the 80mm coupling compress and seal around the 76mm fitting?

With that said, if I force the 76mm coupling onto the TB, do you think the coupling with be over stretched and fail in short time?

Need some lube and a shoehorn to get that sucker in.
