Plus if you have a lifted 4x4 you don't want to be that guy that can't hit a dirt road. That's the point of a 4x4.

I did the 3" front spacer lift 2" rear aal and it stiffened it a bit but it's a truck not a car I like it overall never had any issues . Now I'm upgraded to their 6in lift love it

The RC stuff being garbage is only half of the problem. The truck just isn’t designed to accommodate that much lift without extensive modifications. Every lift has trade offs, but some are worse than others. A spacer on top of the front shock mount requires a taller bump stop, which reduces travel. A preload adjustable shock (or a spacer on the spring) just trades droop travel for bump travel. This is a good option for smaller lifts, but taking it to the extreme will result in a bad ride that is, frankly, dangerous to yourself and everyone else on the road. Suspension that can’t extend is suspension that can’t maintain traction.

There are similar trade offs in the back. A leaf pack or AAL trades droop travel for bump travel. Again, it is fine for small lifts, but you need some droop travel to have a safe ride. A block has that same downside, plus it reduces travel (instead of being fully compressed when the bump stops engage, the shock will have an inch or more of shaft exposed, which is travel you no longer have).

This doesn’t get into the alignment and drivetrain problems that come with a lift like that. I don’t want to be on the road with you when your truck is driving like a bucking bronco and you can’t keep it in the lane because you are running negative caster thanks to your lift.

Why do you want the huge lift? If it is purely for looks, just get a body lift and leave the suspension alone. There’s no point in making the truck drive like crap if you don’t actually need ground clearance. If you need ground clearance, bigger tires are your only real option (a suspension lift can’t make the axle any higher). You can get an inch and a quarter of lift with minimal modifications to the truck if you run skinny 33” tires on stock rims and have an alignment shop max out your caster adjustments. Combine that with a modest, good quality suspension lift (preload adjustable front shocks an an AAL at a minimum), and you’ll be sitting 3” higher without ruining your truck.

some you say is true . but ive been able to dial in rough countrys 6" lift to where i have no bucking problems . I spent the better money and wanted to try their vertex resis. So far after 6months of ownership i have the front where i like it and the rear where i like it . im very optimistic and i wanted to give rough country a chance . With the weight of my front bumper and winch i removed the rear 4" block and put 1 more aal in the rear . I have a progressive 2 leaf aal. There rear shocks I set the adjuster to 1 being softest and the front at 4 being more firm. Now when im loaded I set the front to 6th click on resis and the rear to 4th click on resis. Yes I know I purchased a 6" lift and im not getting the whole 6", but its still a work in progress. My front bumper is 210lbs and I have a 12k winch also . Much weight for my front springs , which ill be upgrading . I like the look of my truck the ride height is just right . I measured 24.5" from center hub to fender front and rear is 25". I measured a 2021 stock off road the other day and it was under 21" on the drivers side. I also want to add that I do have bucshwacker fender flares. Not sure if how much of a difference there is between stock fender flares and the ones I have.

I hope that all made sense and maybe some help .

I just did the rear block 2" lift, and believe i overloaded my leaf pack, been dealing with very bouncy jittery rear end even after installing rear n3 shocks, im goin aal now..

I was referring to suspension lifts that don’t require things like frame cutting and replacement steering knuckles. The 6” kits require cutting the frame, and some of them can’t be uninstalled later. I don’t know if Rough Country’s kit falls into that category. I’m sure you can get a good ride if you aren’t limited by factory suspension geometry and are willing to cut and drill.

So you chopped a hunk out of your frame. You have 6" of lift, yet your axle line is still your low point.

    Not a fan.

    But glad you like it.

I still have plenty of adjustment on my front coils and more room for lift in rear , but I will be upgrading tire size soon as current tires are bald. Yes bigger tires will help on axle clearance. I wanna get the marlin crawler xd hd lower control arms .
