My leafs were fine, just needed an add-a-leaf to support the weight I was throwing at it.

Yes. Replace the block with an AAL. That's a cheap fix. I'd still recommend a new heavy duty pack though Because...

If the truck sat squatted with a loaded trailer for a couple days and you also pull that same trailer occasionally... that's significant if the springs were inverted with the extra torsion of the block lift, especially since the stock leaf springs are relatively flat.

What kind of trailer? Single axle?

My "expert" diagnosis would be to say a bent or cracked leaf spring. The thud you hear could be the leaf popping on and out where they are supposed to be.

I'm sticking by my previous post. Block lifts create axle wrap pretty bad and that can definitely by compounded by overloading the leafs.

From all the feedback and my general suspicion.. I think its rear leafs too. The fact it was great before pulling that trailer..

Thanks guys, ill give the icon 1.5aal a try and post back!

If anyone has other thoughts please keep chiming in!

With a single axle trailer it's super important to get the load distribution right. I'm not assuming what you know about that, I just feel like it's a good place to start if you were looking for general advice.

I pull what I assume is a similar trailer and also have been known to overload it on occasion. I make sure not to leave it hooked up or loaded for long.

So i just had a look at my leaf pack.

Not sure how they were originally, but just with the empty truck they are either flat or bowing upwards, the end of the pack looks like its seperating instead of squeezing together. I dont see anything broken. Ill try to get a few pics up

Next question is if i stressed the pack, can an aal correct it or do i need an entire new pack

Leafs are toast, same thing happened to mine loaded for a camping trip with 4 dudes in the truck.
I'm guessing the "bounce" you are talking about is the rear axle hitting the bumps tops, pretty unpleasant feeling.

I dont think i am hitting bump stops, i can jump on the rear of the truck as hard as i can and not come close, im. Getting this hopping feeling from the rear and feel it under the seat, im now guessing is the leafs rebounding faster than the shocks can manage to soak up, even on straight flat pavement it does this

I've never run blocks so this is speculation...could be a weird form of mild axle wrap due to the leverage from the spacers.

Pretty easily to tell if it’s your shocks. Have someone drive along side or behind you and if your tires are bouncing kinda like a basket ball then it’s definitely shock related. You’ll also start to see a cupped wear pattern on your tires as well.

When you hit a small dip, you felt the suspension through the frame and rebound 3 or 4 times?
