Got on the new bike for the first time yesterday for a short ride. My backrest isn’t in yet, forgot I had to hold on a few times. As much as I didn’t really want to trade the Harley, I’m loving this bike so far.

Enjoy that new ride, been riding H-D for years, don’t know if I could make the switch. Nice color by the way.

I definitely struggled with the switch more than he did. He’s the driver so wasn't really my call. I did notice it seems to ride smoother, which was nice.
    No flip flops
Very short ride (I know, irrelevant)
    I hear what you’re saying:)

About two weeks ago when I got my project Ninja inspected and ready for the road.
I worked on progressive braking and swerving maneuvers. It was great!

Yep! It has worked well up to this point. It can be tough working with the tire spoons and seating the bead, but it’s still a better alternative than taking the wheel to a shop to have it done.

Working on the TSport fairing today. The brackets to mount either fairing were about $100 each. I made these using my junk pile and was able to make a small modification that I didn’t like about current offerings: the fairing sits a little low on the front forks and drops the headlight about 2”. My bracket corrects that and leaves the headlight at the stock height. Install pics once everything dries. The dimple dies were an aesthetic choice since the flat plate looked too “home made” IMO. As a bonus they allow me to loop a small molle pouch since I haven’t added risers yet.

here’s that bracket that nobody will ever see:

Using cheap non-graded zinc hardware for the test ride. Then I’ll get the stainless nylock stuff.

also need to paint the lower bracket and I’ll probably revisit the headlight extension brackets I made. I can probably pretty those up a bit but they’re functional for now.

You sure you don't want to ride to VA to buy my Scrambler? One less cylinder than you have now, and 200 less cc than the bike you want..

Thanks! I probably find more comfort in knowing that I didn’t spend $100 on something I can make with stuff I have laying around and I was able to make some changes that would’ve bugged me with the purchased version.
Lately I think I spend more time noodling with the bike than riding but I plan on getting some seat time tomorrow.

Looks better in the front end up high than dropped down in the forks as well. Polish them up and sell a few, I’m sure you’d made a bit.

nothing like that in regards to time. Way back from a retirement and my buddy got a call about his house and a cash offer. So we decided to fuck with them. Added another room and bathroom to the house, reinforced the basement rafters to support hobby activities and sex swings. When asked why he would sell and what he would spend the money on, we responded with hookers and blow. Dude hung up on us.

sweet bike and I love Indians! But as stated below, dress for the slide, not the ride.

lost a family member many years ago due to him bouncing his head off the pavement without a helmet after getting clipped by a car. He was on a bicycle and going 5mph. I know it’s a contentious subject but why not wear some skull protection…

I hear you all. I do have all of the riding gear. We went around my subdivision. We went maybe 10 minutes for my first time on this bike.
