    Final Update?

Website is kind of up; 2 weeks until the launch date but at least you can put in an email to be notified of when it opens.

    www.thetacoshop.us

Would've loved to have gotten a .com but I'm not quite ready to shell out 50k for a domain; you all get busy buying knobs and then maybe we can upgrade.

I'll probably post again before the website launch but for now I'll say I've been rocking a quicksand knob in my truck for the past few days and I love it

    Hey all,

With the shop opening in just under two days now I figured I would share some information. Seeing as how I only have my truck to base fitment off of (a 3rd gen automatic), the only knobs that will be available at release are ones for 3rd gen automatics. Knobs for 3rd gen manuals will also be listed at release but the option to have it come with the leather boot clip won't be available until I can find someone to work with for fitment. That being said, if anybody has or knows someone that has a 3rd gen manual, please post a reply to this so we can talk. All I need is for someone to take a picture of their manual knob exactly like this
    Inked20210905_120512[3036]_LI.jpg

with caliper measurements of the red line. If someone can get me that information then I can print out a number of prototypes and ship them to you to test fitment.

For now though, the shop will be offering 3rd gen manual knobs with the boot adapter that terminates the boot before it reaches the knob, which in my opinion is just as good of a look, it just means a little bit more work. As for the 2nd gen guys, I haven't forgotten about you, I just need to go through the same process with someone else, so if anybody with a second gen (manual and automatic ideally) wants to send the same picture that would be awesome. Maybe include a general zoomed out picture of the knob on the boot and how its all laid out as well just so I can see how it all looks. Also on the way are tundra and 4runner knobs, but those will have to wait until I get at least a solid setup with the 3rd gen manuals. What started as me printing knobs for people has turned into what I hope will eventually become a good size online store selling mostly custom parts that I make but also general overlanding/gear stuff in addition to apparel and decals and such. If you sign up for emails on the website and follow the shop on instagram (coming soon), then I'll keep you updated with all of the new stuff that I'll be making as time goes on; every week should bring something new whether it be a couple new t-shirts, new design options for the knobs, new knobs in general, or anything else that I may think of. I have a list a mile long of things that I want to make, but seeing as how I live in an apartment right now, I cant really pull the welder out and start fabbing up new bumpers, but that is exactly what I hope to do in the future. Alright enough yapping, thanks in advance for anyone that shares the knob pictures for me, and I hope to see you all in the shop building your own knobs soon.

For those that didn't get the memo, the shop is www.thetacoshop.us.

Shop doors are open! You can use the discount code TACOMAWORLD for $30 off a shift knob. Today has been pretty bananas for me as well so if you all see anything wacky about the site or have any suggestions let me know. Thanks guys.

Very cool. You got more photos of the finished product than just the one on the site?

And yes Tundra Knobs are coming really soon hopefully within the next couple weeks, I just have to get everything around the tacoma knobs squared away first; there are still some electrical options like buttons and switches I need to implement. Ill keep you all posted on here and you can out your email into the website to get notifications about mew stuff like that. Thanks again!

Quick photo dump for you all. I feel kind of bad because I want to come out with new designs as often as possible to maximize customization, but I don't want someone to create a knob and order it just for me to come out with something new that they would rather have. I may come up with a pretty decent returning customer discount or something like that, if I were in a customer's shoes with this business I would definitely be blowing way too much money on a shift knob collection  but we'll see, I'm adding a coming soon page to the website with rough time frames tonight to try and prevent that situation from happening as well as give updates on future products. Here are your all's pictures though, I figured I would mess around and make a mock @MESO x TheTacoShop collab with a dual position switch (coming next week) but I wasn't sure if they would like that so for now we'll refer to it as the mo knob :D

Yes, that selection adds on the clip section to the bottom of the knob that attaches to the leather boot around the shifter.
    Screenshot_20210918-210540_Chrome.jpg
Here, the knob on the left has the adapter and the knob on the right does not. Soon I will be selling boot terminators that stop the boot before the knob if you prefer that look.

The first tundra knob is about to finish printing in translucent red. It looks so cool I couldnt wait the last 45 minutes for it to finish, I had to post a picture mid print. Hopefully I'll get it finished up tonight and I can post a finished pic for you all.

My shift knob arrived today and I love it. Single button for ECT at my finger tips and color fade black to cement back to black. My only complaint is I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and won't get to install it until next week. Production and shipping was super quick. Customer service was top notch also, as I had multiple questions and OP answered them all. If you guys are on the fence just jump I highly doubt you'll regret it!
I'll send more pics once I get it installed

For those of you who have at least 2 lights pointing in every possible direction at all times, winches on front and rear, 3 different ect functions, and 4 seperate air comps for each tire, and you're just running out of room to put switches... fear not! The mission control knob is coming to the taco shop next week! Giving you at least 6 additional buttons with the possibility of adding either 4 more buttons or 2 additional switches in the front of the top portion. This knob is dedicated to the people who have created a totally legitimate fire hazard from the amount of excess wire squirreled around under the hood.
