Not anytime soon. If it can hold off for another 2 years I'm pretty sure we'll reach mega-drought status. Which is defined as a drought lasting two decades or more. Technically this is when we where in drought. 1999-2004, 2006–2010, 2011–2018 and 2020. I think we can qualify. lol

It's gonna come home to roost and it's gonna hurt.
Another year or two of this and my grass is coming out. Gonna look at low water landscaping. It's gonna cost too much to water the lawn.

Losing my lawn is a major advantage. I hate mowing that shit and have been threatening to pour a concrete pad and paint it green for years. lol

The biggest impact will be cities. LA and San Fran are gonna have to figure out a way to keep the taps on. Possibly by building those desalination plants they've been talking about for 30 years now.

I like my lawn, but I won't miss it. Low water, low maintenance landscape is the ticket.
I need to lay concrete anyways for covered parking in the side yard. Kinda fits the plan.

Are you building a carport or just picking up one of those tent like carports?

Thinking about erecting a metal carport. May not be the best option but the price is difficult to beat.

It's better then the tent style. Should be pretty easy. I wonder if it's cheaper then a wood build of the same size. What are the rough dimensions?

14’ x 24’ for RV parking. May go a bit longer.

Negative. Used to be a guy up near your place on the highway that sold them. Across the road from RiteAid.
