Anyone know where the entrance is to the 905 trails? I tried going this morning but the gates off of La Media rd and Harvest rd were locked.

 

Did you try off otay lakes road

 

The publicness of those are questionable, just head out Otay Lakes Rd to the Pio Pico entrance for Otay Mountain Truck Trail.

was up there last saturday, only saw like 5 trucks the whole time, only 1 jeep, all the rest were yotas

 

What’s the other entrance besides by the RV park?

 

There's one off Alta Rd. across from Donovan prison. It's been awhile since I was there but there was a locked gate at that end when I was there. I had just came from Pio Pico and thought I was going to have to go back to exit there but I ran into some marines that were working with BP that drove down and let me out.

 

Otay Mountain Truck Trail has three main entrances.

On the west side off Alta Road near Donavan Prison at 32.58192887671929, -116.91910789578779. This entrance has a gate and is on private property, sometimes the gate is open, often it is not.

The north entrance is off Otay Lakes Road near the Pio Pico RV Park at 32.6522865,-116.8572278. This is the one I've used most times and the drive up has an amazing view at sunset.

The eastern entrance is off Campo Rd down Marron Valley Rd at 32.63159029240667, -116.76400786261068 and you go passed the South Bay Rod and Gun Club.

 

The detention center entrance is always locked when I leave from doghouse but it is fun to bomb off the hill into the street

We usually go up the East side and out the West side. Easiest in/out without worrying about gates. We ended up doing a nice little cruise of the border wall trail which was pretty awesome! Drove right past BP on the SW side, they didnt even care.
