Ya but then I could've ordered the non sais version of the headers. Those are now a permanent install

 

The blockoffs that came with my hewitttech fit the airvalve flanges, but not the exhaust manifold flanges. Ticked me off cause I cut my knuckles up pretty good trying to mount them on the manifold first.

 

On the previous topic of engine temps and the fan. I'm watching the HPTuners tutorial and towards the end he talks about Fan Control and 170* thermostats, and adjusting the fan speeds. Is this something that would help the overheating crowd?

Fan speeds are non adjustable as they are based on engine RPM speed, and engine intercooler pump controls are non existent, as they have one speed, one speed only and only have a relay driving it on and off. They are not PCM connected and have no other way to control them.

 

Mostly I’ve seen write ups related to older Yotas but you can make slight adjustments to fan by using different oil in the clutch. Not sure it would be substantial temp change but clutch is actually pretty simple inside.

 

Someone did this here, during discovery. Used a thicker shock oil. I believe that was in the CSF radiator thread.

I don’t remember who but I found my stock set of injectors if anyone wants them. Also how much do stock headers go for? And i have a stock intake manifold too that someone can have

 

i sold low mileage stock manifolds for 250. very reasonable price compared to dealer. sold fast.

 

can anyone give a parts/labor estimate for a gear change?
i want to go 4:30. reason is unfortunate. my trac bar 3rd member mount stressed and im leaking repaired twice without luck. what a bitch.

 

It’ll be a couple grand. That’s what I paid.

Your trac-bar bolts to the 3rd member bolts. Yes?

 

Yep he did mine this year and I was super pleased. Only other route I’d go would be the 3rd member core swap from ECGS. But Zuk will be my first suggestion.

 

Id suggest Randy’s Ring and Pinion in Everett, one of the best on the area. I’ve had 3 trucks done there. Though I’m not following what the issue is.

 

i had a front diff that was locked by ECGS. whwen i regeared later, the shop that i had do it was surprised how it still worked with all they found wrong with it.

 

no. it is welded to the 3rd. thought this was the better choice. now seriously regretting it.

 

where my tracbar is welded to my 3rd member the weld gave out and its weeping fluid. neighbor helped weld it up but its still got a slow leak. im kinda screwed i figure. likely need a new housing, figured its a time for gears.
