Eibach PRO TRUCK Coilover 2.0 Stage 2

I like the fact that I dont pogo anymore when braking but def not a comfy ride on washboards, but I didnt buy them for that. Money well spent and then some in my opinion.

 

Could you expand on that a bit? I'm seriously considering these but I don't want a harsh ride. The stock suspension isn't great on washboards either, but I was hoping whatever I end up with would just be better all around - soak up potholes, RR crossing, speed bumps, washboards better and less dive when cornering and such.

 

Its stiffer all around, it does help with speed bumps but it is still a good bit more rough than stock but no extra movement after rebound. Maybe it will feel better once the spring gets worn in more bit for now I’ll say that you will definitely still feel the bumps, which is what I wanted so its a good fit for me.

 

Fronts are ~22.75(lean spacer on drivers side so i can mirror pass side if i want to go up or down)

Didnt like the extra movement on trails, braking and around corners. Truck just feels more planted and stable to me now.

 

Thanks. So how much lift do you have in the rear? I'm really confused by their description saying max lift of 1.5" in the rear but 2.5" in the front. I want 2" in the front and 2.5" in the rear to recover the factory rake lost due to the camper shell. I'm planning on a new leaf pack for the rear lift.

 

I used a single deaver aal and its almost even. Im not sure about a leaf pack, but i kinda wish i had another .5”-1” in the rear. I think another .5” would have been safe without extending anything or putting too much stress on rear shock. I have a factory cover so it was enough to make the factory rake go down with the weak leaf springs.

 

You added a spacer on top of the coilover? If so, can you post up pics? Been trying to find info about this as, I wanted to set the coilover dead on 2" and add a small spacer for another 1" so in total, the front wound sit at 3"

 

Its a .25” taco lean spacer that you cant see unless I take the coilover off.

 

Ahh, so you can still add a spacer on top, did you have to buy longer bolts? Or was it just enough?

Never thought about this, since that's the beauty of adjustable coilovers, you can adjust their height, and is it cool you can link me the spacer? Thanks

 

Bought longer bolts, I just wanted to be able to adjust both sides the same amount of turns when raising/lowering.

 

Where did you purchase the longer bolts as well?

 

Home depot had them. Just match thread and get 1/4 inch longer. I think its m1.5x10

I posted in this thread when I initially put the coilovers in. Here are my thoughts after a few thousand miles.

1) They eliminate most body roll and nose diving and do feel much more stable even with highway driving. Given the stiffer springs, you will feel much more of the road but big bumps get absorbed nicely with no “bounciness).

2) Being a steel body shock, it’s super nice when I want to adjust to get the perfect ride hight. I adjusted the driver side ever so slightly higher to account for the lean (Eibach even recommends this vs putting a spacer on top”.

3) For the $1100 for the stage 2 kit, you really get a lot of bang for your buck. It’s obviously not a king R/R coilover but it does exactly what it is supposed to do as a mid level coilover set up.

I just recently put the Eibach 1” block in the rear which makes it look much better. I will eventually get a full leaf pack once I decide to overland it but for now the 1” does the job I need it too. I have not noticed any vibration out of the ordinary.

I have attached two pictures, 1 of the side view and 1 next to a stock Tacoma. I adjusted the coilovers down just a bit so that there is no “bro lean”. I can get exact measurements later if anyone wants them but I’d say it’s about 1.5 up front and 1 in the rear.

For the top plate spacer, did you purchase the 1/4 or 1/2?

 

1/4” it equates to 1/2” of lift

I already had the rear eibach installed a couple months ago. So hense why it's just this. I also have spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers
