Kind of a busy day. Grandmother's Heep, I mean Jeep needed an oil change today (only 2200 miles on this oil change, but its been 15 months). Went to the Tractor Supply behind the house and they had one of my favorite 5w30's on sale for $24.99.



(yes, my work bench and garage is getting cleaned up tomorrow...)

Due to the location of the oil filter you pretty much have to degrease and pressure wash the entire underside. Decided while I had the pressure washer out and a can of engine degreaser I'd do the engine and wash the exterior. Decided to throw some shine juice on er'. Its got several different repaints, but don't look half bad. Grandmother is happy with it so that's all that matters





The plastic trim will get coated tomorrow. Also incase you're wondering, no it does not have rockers left, especially on the passenger side. I bumped the plastic cladding and almost knocked it off

 

That reminds me, Lowe's has $5 off 5 quarts of Valvoline right now and Costco has $10 off 6 quarts Mobil 1. I actually think Costco was 28 in store not the 32 listed.

 

Yea Walmart has it for $23 as well, but honestly I didn't feel like wasting 3 gallons of gas to save $2. Hell I woulda put TSC's house brand Traveller in there if the Valvoline wasn't on sale. This thing don't get run enough to matter. Bought it Spring 2017 with 86K on it and I checked today's mileage and it was 94,646.

Meijer has Valvoline on sale right now. So I picked up a couple of jugs of 5w30 HM synthetic Maxlife myself for future use

Travellers oil, like so many house brands, is made by Warren. Can't go wrong with it.
