Are those the Firestone XTs? Do you like them? I'm thinking about a set since they are one of the lighter options out there (would probably go for 245/75-16s due to 2.7-liter).

Yaris was my first car. A truck feels like you're driving a big purring cat compared to that.

I've had other things in the past, like a '17 Corolla (handed it down to our kid) and I bought 2003 Civic Si hatchback new and drove it for yeaaars.

The Yaris is one of my favorite cars of all time. It is a 3-door hatchback with a stick. Super simple and nothing has gone wrong with it in the 10 years we've had it. It is so great as a commuter/city car since it gets 30-35 MPG no matter how you drive it, has great A/C, can whip a u-turn anywhere and is surprisingly quick (0-60 is like 8.x seconds). But it is terrible on the interstate... good power but loud and fatiguing over long distances.

Parked in the garage with the rear ends lined up, the Yaris comes up to truck's firewall, haha

Nice. We are waiting for my wife's 2009 Yaris to die so we can get a new car, but it won't stop.

Wondering if anyone is running Hankook P265/75R16 Dynapro ATM RF10's
At 39.019lbs that's pretty light and will go on my list for the next set of tires to give a try. They probably arent as aggressive looking as the AT3Ws I'm running, but a 5lbs less per tire it could potentially get me a little more mpg when I'm ready for new treads.

I'd like to hear what ppl think about these in weather/long term use/ looks/ etc.

they are indeed the Firestone XT’s. Extremely quiet, great in the rain, worked well in the end of season snow storms earlier this year. Haven’t used them in hard winter driving yet.

Here’s some shots to see how well they fill out the wheel wells with the spacers. Again LT265/75r16’s E load.

Went Blacktail hunting yesterday on the mountain and the SR does just fine. Same places I went with my 2018 F-150 and my 2008 TRD, both had locking rear diffs. My hunting partner has a Raptor and he said we should come back with the Tacoma for rifle season since it’s narrower. A rear locker is not even close to being needed because the roads are still in good shape but with some rain and traffic, it’ll get rutted out quite a bit when it’s time for our next hunt. Not worried at all.

Travel hockey season started. I'll be putting some miles on my truck now. Last weekend I had a 250 mile round trip mainly 75mph. It felt like I threw a weight on one of my wheels for about half the trip and felt like my rear tire was out of balance -- not terrible but noticable -- my tires with 20k started sounding loud too like all AT tires do at 20k.

Got back and got around to crawling under to inspect for rust and check my tire. I read about loose u bolts some time back and decided to check mine. All 8 were a good 1/4 to 1/2 turn under torqued (I went with 52 ft/lb after reading). Should have set my wrench to about 35 at first to try and get an idea of what they were torqued to. This led me to check my carrier bearing as well (27 ft/lb on the nose -- so no problem there). Tires quieted down, and the perceived tire issue was resolved.

Moral of the story...check your ubolts
