Hey all, about 6 years ago I took of my front sway bar and in one of my cleaning fits got rid of it. Now I've changed my mind and I'd like to have a front sway bar again. In doing some research there appear to be two types with two different end links.

This seems to be the only type of bar I can find online:

But my old bar looked like this:

My bar had end links like this:

Any thoughts on the difference (4WD vs 2WD? or year?) and how I could get a bar like I used to have (to ensure proper fitment)?

    Thanks!

    4 run, 2 don't
Prerunner and 4x4 will be the same.

The sway bar in the first picture is off a 3rd gen 4runner

IIRC the 1995.5-2000 1st gens came with the sway bar in your 1st pic and the 2001-2004 models came with the version you had previously. Either version should work for you. You can go to a junkyard and rip one off of a 4x4 or a prerunner, then buy the corresponding end links and bushings. Don't forget to buy/take the bushing brackets as well!
