    Stock… for now
honestly it didn’t really change at all. I haven’t driven it around but just Erving the engine it didn’t change much. This was more just getting it to have clearance so I don’t drag a tail pipe and I prefer the look of no exhaust pipe out the side

Well, today I put the rest of the parts that I had gathered for my truck's upgrade project into storage until next year.

Well, busy weekend to be sure.

Made a wiring harness for the 6x Baja Designs S2's (2x S2 sports each side, 2x S2 pros to the rear) to be mounted on the RLD roof rack. Pain...In...The....Ass!!! I wish I could just wing it and just use quick crimps and run wires. But no, I can't. Everything needs to be soldered, heat shrinked, and run in plastic tubing. The design of the RLD rack allowed me to run the harness within the rack tubing, so it is completely hidden and not subject to any abuse.

After the wiring harness and lights were mounted on the RLD rack, next job was drilling and setting up for the bushing for the canopy to rack transition.

    0-20210919_170734.jpg

This is not the end product. Once I had the bushing in and sealed, the rack was brought forward to its final resting place and placed over this bushing. The bushing is not visible and instead resides within the load bar seen just behind the bushing in the photo.

Then came bolting up the rack and running the wiring harness inside.

Sealed up rack mount points, tightened everything down, and am ready next weekend to land the wires.

This will be an awesome set up for me. I typically arrive out at camp about midnight, setting up in the dark. About 2am, there is a firewood run. These lights will be a godsend when setting up camp, cutting wood, pulling boats onto trailers after dark, or any other night time needs.

The RLD canopy by itself did not look great to my eye....but I loved it because it will serve a great purpose. Adding in the RLD rack and lights really made this go from just "eh, okay" to "hey, that's nice".

Didn't snap a pic, but also installed a Yakima spare tire carrier on the rack. When going "way out there" it will be nice and will now be able to add a second spare to the roof rack.

Will need to upgrade springs to Deaver Stage 1 leafs soon. Lost about 3/4" ride height in rear. Want that back as I'm not a fan of the leveled look. I don't like the squat when carrying a load in the rear.

Never ending shit. One mod brings about the need for another.

Ordered these a while back, finally installed these R4T LCA skids. Black was out of stock so I went with the gray thought they might match my Aluminum skids.

Nice! I just drove out to Vegas a few weeks ago and picked up a new Mt. Rainier hybrid and a matching hybrid awning.. Such a good group of people there at CVT.

Put my labor day sale diode dynamics SS3 pro fogs in. Ended up taking the fender liner off on the first side then just did the second through the hood opening, prettt straight forward. Will have to see how I like where they’re aimed and potentially adjust more after some driving. Seem like they’re pretty high quality and they’re awefully bright!

Changed out the radio dials into some black anodized ones. Recently saw AJT designs are taking pre orders for knobs that will match their chrome delete package (which I have) so Im very excited to get those. Waiting on Monday to get all my LEDs so I can FINALLY switch out my whole tailight unit

This happened yesterday. It goes with Saturday's post. It ended up being a little late, so I didn't make the 'Today' deadline. :anonymous:

I finished the front. I'll need to measure once it settles. It should be about an extra inch and a half over the one inch on the Pro. So that's two and a half inches for the peasants. :crapstorm:

So I decided to see if I could reduce the amount of road noise coming into the truck. I did the Noico butyl and second skin sound mass loaded vinyl with the closed cell foam. Quite a reduction in noise. Happy with the results30A1491E-9E83-4AA1-84AE-76AE2514D9B8.jpg D50C4438-7449-4D80-B667-3A8D8B66AD85.jpg 92F74127-1D26-4917-8578-FCF1130F0F4A.jpg

There is an amazing YouTube by Jesse Rizo https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ipJaa5TkuvI

it is step by step instructions. I just upgraded the insulation I used on the floor of the truck to second skin MLV with closed cell foam from his video. TBH it is a tight fit with the upgraded floor padding.

Spent Saturday at the dunes in Sand Lake, OR. Turned out to be a beautiful day even though the forecast called for rain. My SR5 handled it like a champ.

All I did was remove the grille and straight forward install. So far I have not been flashed by oncoming traffic. Great coverage too.
