Does anyone know what this extra plug is for? Is it a prewire for the blind spot monitors? I love my backup camera but it would sure be nice if it would beep too! 9BC797DE-81DF-47D2-8AFC-2F40E9376DAC.jpg

If you look inside you'll see on 3 exposed pins. They are for the Parking Assist Sensor system. But it's not an add on.

Does this mean that if we were to get the sensors this would work??

So then it wouldn't be as simple as another module plugging into this plug then the sensors connect to it from there?

There are 2 versions in the TechStream setup. It's not as easy as connecting the missing parts. One version (simplest) only does the Too Close feature warning. The other is tied to the Blind Spot Monitoring System which uses the bumper corner sensors while going in reverse.
So you'd need the missing harness to the bumper sensors, the sensors (x4), the Clearance Warning ECU, the on/off switch and maybe even the buzzer. The wiring might all be there. Then an expert to activate & verify it functions in your vehicle. I haven't done it, so I can't say. There most likely be more issues.

Thank you very much for the insight! All in all it seems not worth the time or cost!
