any of you been on the Magnuson web page lately? I was looking for parts (belt and coolant cap) yesterday and found absolutely nothing in their "parts" that was useful. Oddly enough they now show two options for the Gen3 SC - one a few hundred dollars cheaper than the other - and the description for each reads nearly the same. Guess I will call them about parts (good to keep spare belt) and see what gives with the two SC options.

@PapaRee - are you aware of this ? could be from outside pressure to allow Tuners access to do their own research/Tune. ??

The tuner kit doesn’t come with carb approval or software.

Wonder where those who purchase this will get the Tune? Seems odd Magnuson would do this considering all their control on a locked tune for CARB option buyers. Hopefully those of us with a locked Tune will soon find a Tune that fixes the known and documented flaws of V7 for AT.

Has a smaller pulley that’s compatible with this unit been identified yet?

Likely - but the injectors and fuel system will starve it extra boost to the point of failure. Solutions coming but not soon.

The warranty thing you fill out online takes like 2 mins and they were very quick with getting it shipped. I think I had it in like 2 days after it shipped.

Circling back, are people still raggin' on these things for feeling like there isn't much power difference from stock?

There is def a serious power increase over stock. What's annoying to me now that I've noticed after I updated to the latest ECU update and the correct Maggie update to match it (still not V8 though) is the apparent lack of power until the temp gauge reaches at least the first "tick" mark on the gauge... It either didn't do that before or I somehow never drove my truck "cold"...

It’s done that since version 5. It is 100% required. OVTune came to the same conclusion and drastically limited power until warm.

So it's been a pain in the ass to get it to where you want it? My truck is just no fun to drive on the highway, especially up in the mountains

No, not at all. I love driving it with the blower. It just moves now. Like it should have from the factory.

I do think it may be bit more laggy when cold on V7 compared to V6. It still lets you get near full boost and you can still chirp the tires. it just doesn’t feel happy until it’s a bit warm. My drive to work doesn’t get my truck to operating temp so I’ve dealt with it every day.

I tend to always let my vehicles warm up for 5 to 10 mins if I can. Its vary rare that I just hop in and drive it. Only time that happens is if I'm just moving it in the driveway or yard or something.

The SC will make this go away - even in the AT (which I drive) mountain driving especially when in S mode is a breeze. Yes even pulling my 3k camper I have power to pass and keep up with the speed limit and other traffic. I'm stock other than 4.88's and some suspension mods. Had OVT 2.0 before so I have a good understanding of what both have to offer. The SC is hands down the solution if you want power.

    ^^^^ This is true !

I just realized you have stock tires with 4.88 gears. Do you like that combination?

I might be giving my truck to my dad since I haven't had any luck selling as is yet. He doesn't want it lifted with the 33" tires I have. I don't really want to remove the SC or my gears so I'd like to get a feel of how it drives with stock tires, 4.88 gears, and the SC.
