It's been awhile since I've been on. Used to have an '07, now I'm rocking a '13 TX Baja with 108k miles on it. Question for the group -- when should I re-build the suspension? Hold the "when it blows" responses. Is there an average miles where it's beneficial, before catastrophic failure? For the rear, should I do an AAL? The camper towing is fine, it's not often. However, the tent stays on, and is used quite a bit year round.

I also have a pull to the right. Dealership told me it was due to the suspension and there wasn't anything they could do about it. I replaced tires, did 2 alignments at 2 different shops. Thoughts on what to check next?

Most definately, you'll want to do an AAL if you want to carry additional load. ENSURE YOU DO NOT MAX OUT THE TRAVEL OF YOUR EXISTING REAR STRUTS WHEN GOING UP. This is a common mistake and your vehicle will ride Iike a little red wagon. If your budget will allow it look at Deavers springs. You can call them and they will advise you to which ones to purchase, based on load you carry and if you tow. Based on your picture you clearly have both those things going on.

If you still have the digression Bilstein shocks on there, then you're likely due for a swap. I don't know how that truck was driven, but safe bet you're there. I haven't heard of anyone rebuilding those bilsteins, but I could be wrong. I had swapped my '14 Baja shocks out at 70k for Dobinson MRRs. Just a friendly reminder, you have 650# springs on the stock front suspension of that Baja. Keep that in mind if you start adding weight to the front of that thing and/or change suspension. Incorrect spring weight to load/ old suspension with front load, can adversely change your vehicles driving dynamics.

Dobinson recommended 750# springs for the additional weight of a plate bumper and winch.

Every change you make is re-engineering that vehicle. People don't consider this and that's why block lifts exist. Consider how you want to use your vehicle and approach the vendors for advise. I'm not an expert by any means... but I've dealt with alot of them for what I do out there.

Well, after almost 4 months of waiting the Magnuson will be here Thursday! I also have the quick connect 2.85 URD pulley and Walbro 255 fuel pump.
My question is, do I need the Walbro fuel pump with the 2.85 pulley or is there enough fuel with factory pump. The reason I ask is because I know it’s pretty good job getting to the fuel tank and I could save some labor if not necessary.

I personally would have it swapped. Especially since you are changing the pulley.

Is it easier to remove the bed, or drop the tank?

Congrats! Welcome to the SC club. Are you doing the install or having a shop do it?

I’m having a local shop do it. They’ve done work for me for years. I don’t have the patience or tools, lol.
Is there a brass nipple or something mod on the Magnuson kit? Thought I saw that somewhere.

Yeah , you don’t want to do it though…..a bunch of people did it with absolutely no benefit. Now you just rid the system of something that’s supposed to be there. That’s the way I saw it.

Anyone familiar with the Vertex coil overs with adjustable valve settings? I’ve read only good things and are considering these. My Bilsteins only have 47k and ride like a fork lift.

Yeah, I agree in most cases they are and I would never consider RC, but these look next level for them..

It’s not worth saving a couple bucks. Buy once cry once with a trusted name brand like Bilstein / Fox / King and don’t look back.
