Well, I dropped the bomb today at work with my 2 week resignation and it did not go well....

I had lots of the larger version of that engine the 232 & 258 plus the Jeep 4.0 and an IH Scout with a 232.

Yours I believe is old enough to have a Holly carburetor, the 70's ones had a Carter YF which always seemed to give trouble, the Carter 2 barrel came along in the later years -- unfortunately so did the early computer controlled emissions. With some mods the 2 barrel engines would run pretty sweet.

Edit: The Tacoma is the newest & most expensive thing on wheels I have ever bought - I don't intend to be taking the heads off for a long time - if I need to I will be sure to go on some on line truck forum and complain about falling Toyota quality...

 

When I told my last bosses that I'd accepted my current job and told them I would be done in 2 weeks, they moved it up to a week and a half then didn't talk to me the entire time. One of them didn't even come into the office on my last day. So much for working for them for 8 years.

I worked at a landscape nursery when I was in high school my junior and senior year, I got out of school at lunch and went to work. Worked there for 2 years, hated it. The owners dad was older and carried his teeth around in his front pocket. He was a trip. One day we were talking about poison oak and he said he didn't get it, I didn't believe him. He went and got some leaves and put them in his mouth and chewed on them. He was right!!!

 

Well, we close on the house in Steele Creek on 18 Oct and we closed on our house here in VA on 9 Sept movers pack us up on the 16 Oct

Yep, little single-barrel Holly; rebuilt it 2 or 3 times. Takes a grand total of about 20 minutes as well. I'd like to find a 2bbl that I could use, but it works well enough.

Think of poison ivy itch but under your skin...cuz thats where they dig in. Not deep but every one will leave a telltale spot of itchy red bump!

Numerous ways to kill but best way i found/was told to kill them, is to paint each red spot with clear fingernail polish... (kinda hard to explain buying clear finger nail polish at dollar store... when you are single guy or no girlfriend / wife with you at time of purchase. )
