I worked at a landscape nursery when I was in high school my junior and senior year, I got out of school at lunch and went to work. Worked there for 2 years, hated it. The owners dad was older and carried his teeth around in his front pocket. He was a trip. One day we were talking about poison oak and he said he didn't get it, I didn't believe him. He went and got some leaves and put them in his mouth and chewed on them. He was right!!!

Yep, little single-barrel Holly; rebuilt it 2 or 3 times. Takes a grand total of about 20 minutes as well. I'd like to find a 2bbl that I could use, but it works well enough.

When I announced my retirement it floored my Plant Manager.

    PM: Why?
Rusty: I'm just taking your advice
    PM : My advice!!??

Rusty: How many times have you stood up in front of the workers and said "if you can figure out how to get by without coming to work every day well God bless you" (attendance issues).
Well Sir, I believe I figured that out.

PM: :censored::censored: I didn't mean it that way!!

Best moment in my entire working career. :):)

Think of poison ivy itch but under your skin...cuz thats where they dig in. Not deep but every one will leave a telltale spot of itchy red bump!

Numerous ways to kill but best way i found/was told to kill them, is to paint each red spot with clear fingernail polish... (kinda hard to explain buying clear finger nail polish at dollar store... when you are single guy or no girlfriend / wife with you at time of purchase. :anonymous:)

A 2bbl was optional on the 60s 232 engine with a cast iron manifold, hard to find.

By the late 70s AMC had switched to an aluminum manifold and a Carter 2bbl, same carb as Chrysler.

The best manifolds are around this vintage (1979 ish) with a coolant passage, later models used an electric heating element in the manifold, don't want one of those.

Either Ohio doesn't have chiggers, or I've just been lucky.
