Anybody have any good non-campground camping spots along the Oregon coast? Planning a trip to the Florence area, seems to have some good beach access roads with plenty of forest service land to maybe find a spot to camp at. Looking at going further north than Florence as well.

    Sure thing:

Purchased in June 2013 from Kelso Toyota and first trip out on Naches trail 676 via Aardvark Hill - made it up no issue.
Next day we head to 308 or maybe it was 307 (up hill off camber with the downhill side on the driver side) = pucker factor.
We make it up to the top of the hill and being a junior offroader 4x4 driver, I put my passengers tire on a large rock, so I knew where the rock was.
That rock tilted me up into a tree, hence the strangely located dents.
The group I was with tried to counter balance on the passenger side so I could drive forward - no luck.

Then a brilliant idea - why not just back up off of the rock???

    Problem solved.

I have a photo of it somewhere.

It was better to get the dent/body damage out of the way on the first trip...

So are mechanic prices in seattle/Bellevue really crazy right now?

I never get work done but just put a lift on my roommates truck and she took it in for alignment but the bolts are seized. They want 3350+tax to replace the LCA’s. That seems so outrageous to me when lcas are less than 400.

Pretty sure the bolts can be removed (cut out) and replaced. LCAs are fairly easy to replace if need be.

That's ludicrous. Mine are at that point they need cut out, I paid under $300 for new LCAs and alignment bolts. I can't imagine it taking a shop more than 3 hours to do

We recently raised our shop rate to $185. I still gotta get with @Wyckedan and get his truck back in so we can replace his arms with seized cams. That price seems really high but if they are just looking at book time and adding hours for the hassle ...
