What channel and freq are we at?

What's the common channel and frequency that everyone uses while on the road or trail.

462.612 hz (GMRS channel 11) which is FRS channel 3 i believe. but i'm a radio noob and have no idea what i'm talking about. i literally bought a baofeng before my last 4x4 trip.

There isn't one. And if you're punching in a frequency to use on a channelized service you probably bought the wrong radio. #sadham

 

But typically on GMRS/FRS 16 seems to be popular, because 4x4.

My friends and I don’t have a favorite frequency, or even a favorite platform. My off-road car has a CB and a two-Meter HAM radio set to some rarely used frequency so we don’t have other traffic or get hassled for not using call signs. Both radios come in handy though I prefer the two-meter for clarity and distance.

 

You may laugh but for marine VHF that's one of the "pleasure craft" channels.

 

I'm asking because every time I see another Taco and key it and say dumbass it would just be dead air.
