So I’ve just purchased a new Tacoma about a week ago, and I’ve been obsessed with trying to keep the exterior clean and wiping down all bird poo and everything. I was checking out my truck when I got home and I noticed this chip on my hood that I hadn’t seen, I tried wiping it down but it wouldn’t come off. Could it possibly be a chip from a rock or something? Any suggestions to fixing it? It’s very minor, but any help would be appreciated!!38BF6E9D-C36B-41DB-B4E4-620C40126540.jpg0D611EB9-9F6A-4550-9EA0-1453D92F060D.jpg

I can’t even see it. Yes probably from a rock. Touch up paint. If you’re this anal I’d probably suggest getting a ceramic coat ASAP cause Toyota paint sucks. And wax it and get PPF.

Yeah you can hardly see it but now that I noticed it, it’s all I see. This is my first new car in over 10 years, so I wanted to take care of her as much as possible. Any recommendations on touch up paint?

We’re planning a trip to Yosemite in a couple of weeks, I can only imagine the drive there. I know as time goes on though I won’t care as much.

Yeah, I know. I’m overreacting. First time I take her out onto a trail I’ll look back at this and laugh.

I ended up purchasing the touch-up paint from the dealer. Trust me I know where your coming from.

Unless you are supremely skilled at blending in, you will see the touch-up more than you will see the chip. I would not attempt that one.

Put a hood decal over it. :D
