For people that actively Offroad, I think so. Personally, I know several people who have snapped a tierod and have been stuck. Ive sold quite a few of these to people who have as well.

For a daily driver that goes camping here and there, nothing too difficult, not necessary.

Thank you for all the new orders!

This weekend I picked up some brand new (1) #5thgen4runner and (2) #tacoma / #fjcruiser spindles straight from Toyota. I won’t even bother sandblasting these due to their immaculate condition.

All three sets will be getting gussets and a #doubleshearheimupgrade and are available for purchase.

I also have Double Shear Heim Upgrade Kits available for purchase for those of you who already have gusseted spindles!

    DM to place your order!

I was asked recently what makes my spindle core exchange program different than the other guys out there.

I OFFER MORE THAN JUST +2005 TACOMA.

    * I offer full rebuilds, including manual hub conversions, and core exchanges for #1stGenTacoma #3rdGen4Runner #1stGenTundra. All work including breakdown, presswork, rebuilding, and painting is done in house. I keep inventory on these style of gussets also.

    * I offer spindle core exchanges for #1stgentacoma #1stgentundra #2ndgentundra #3rdgen4runner #4thgen4runner #5thgen4runner #fjcruiser #gx470

    * I offer all styles of spindle gussets, not just one. I lean more towards the Total Chaos w/swaybar style of gusset, but I keep inventory on all styles. If you want to keep your swaybar, don’t keep your swaybar, I’ll recommend the appropriate gussets for your setup.

    * I offer Double Shear heim upgrades for the outer tierods with my spindles. I can even modify 6” lift drop bracket spindles and Camburg fully fabricated spindles for 2005+ Tacoma.

    * Additionally, I can guide you through the process of completing a solid piece tierod setup that includes an inner clevis/heim combination to replace your inner tierods and a threaded chromoly rod to connect everything.

    * I have the inventory to ship the same week. You don’t have to wait on me to get cores in stock, I have plenty. I carry inventory for every Toyota model listed above.

    * Take as long as you want to install. I have no set period for you to return your cores to me. Planning on installing your spindles 6 months from now when you install other big parts? Fine by me, and I’ll still refund you your core charge. I have the inventory to keep everyone happy.

    * My pricing includes the core charge as well as shipping (Hawaii Excluded). I’ve already shipped to nearly every state in the US.

    * Lastly, as many as you already know, I offer full tech support to answer all your questions, including installation, compatibility with other parts, etc.

    DM to place your order!

My apologies, sir @zippsub9 This wasn’t directed at you. You do great work also, and I think people would be greatly served by going through you as well. My apologies if it was interpreted that way.

Not cool of you to completely rip off the JD double shear kits and sell them as your own now. Buyers beware, don’t by the imitations from this guy

Post #1 he pretty clearly states he's a welding service and offers different products but never did I understand it as these are his double shear kits.
    Just my 2 cents

So….I just got off the phone with JD.

I advised him that there are currently two others out there doing the exact same thing before me. They just do not handle the volume I do. I am also not the first to replicate spindle gusset designs, there are several others doing the same, much earlier than I started.

Being that I have access to a lathe, CNC, my own connections to get all the hardware, exact heims, misalignments etc., (I am an industrial mechanic by trade) I was able to easily replicate what at the time I considered a very simple design. This allowed me to have a higher volume of spares on hand at a fraction of the cost and a quicker turnaround that was initially totally turning people away. This allowed me to even include a 5/8” reamer with the kits for those who already had gusseted spindles and wanted to complete this upgrade, currently something that isn’t offered.

I was still selling these as JDFAB double shear kits, not “my” double shear kits. I have always clarified with customers that these are “JDFAB” style double shear kits, not RCFABRICATION style.

Before I made that decision, I did call JDFAB about selling me large batches, but at the time it wouldn’t work out for either of us.

After my phone call with JD, I have apologized, and informed him I will deplete what I currently have, and can hopefully move forward with large batch purchases that can benefit both of us.

In exchange, I have even offered similar designs I have for Toyota TUNDRA double shear kits that I have a high demand for also.

I never expected me welding gussets for people in my spare time to explode into what it currently is. I am not a shop or a store, I have a full time job and weld up spindles when I get off of work. I think I currently average 1 set a day for all the various generations of Tacoma’s, 4Runners, and Tundras.

    A0DCE97F-1A85-489D-8B1F-D20E948423B7.jpg

My apologies to everyone for the confusion and misrepresentation.

I understand you wanting to make some extra cash and respect the effort of the side hustle but out right copying someone else’s design (exactly) and then leveraging their company name to push your own products is completely unacceptable.

On top of that you are undercutting a legitimate business that took the time, energy and effort to develop a product. You are able to undercut a real business because you don’t have the overhead (I won’t even get into the tax aspect.) What you fail to realize is that by ripping off legitimate companies you’re only hurting yourself. We are able to spend the time to create new products because we run a successful, legitimate business. If guys like you try to take that away then things like the TC pump kit that you run on your truck won’t get developed.

And on top of all that selling your knockoff parts as JD Fabrication parts is a huge liability. If your knock off steering kit fails and a customer crashes his truck who do you think the customer is going to come after? Are you going to accept liability? Do you have insurance to cover damages?

It takes a lot to get me fired up and you managed to do so. Sorry we could not provide you with the pricing you wanted but why should we offer huge discounts to a guy welding spindles in his garage that doesn’t have a resale license. If you want to run a legitimate business then we will gladly provide you with excellent wholesale pricing.

He did the same thing with @TOTAL CHAOS . Even had the balls to put his logo on it. Their are numerous sketchy things he does. You can definetly tell money drives his motivation, not quality or integrity. He doesn’t realize without you guys he wouldn’t even have a side hustle, gotta show respect and pay your dues. When you level up you can design your own improved gussets that are different than what already exists, then you won’t need to rely on sketchy wording or uneducated buyers to sell your products

Also just because others have low integrity and copy a product doesn’t mean it’s morally right for everyone to do it regardless of volume. Two wrongs don’t make a right. It’s that “race to the bottom” mentality that ruins the industry and is a slap in the face to the people putting the time in to grow our market. If you want to make more money, do better work. You can sell a higher quality product for more money increasing your profit and supporting the companies that actually grow our industry.
