Installed the OME Carrier Bearing Drop Kit this afternoon after work. Before installing, I didn't think I was having any drivetrain vibes (thought my wheeling bearings were going out) and that the kit would maybe just help a little with some axle wrap... Boy was I wrong! I instantly noticed a difference as the ride was smoother and there were fewer vibes at all speeds. I also think that it did help a little with the axle wrap but hey I'm happy all around for only a $20 part. Highly recommend!

Looks awesome man I’ll have to do mine. Pretty easy to take the lights apart? I also did my cup holder area a while back, the gf says it looks like it came that way so I must’ve done decent. Good enough for a Tacoma I suppose.

That has nothing to do with axle wrap.

Looks good! $5 spray can vs $90 OEM black one. Can't beat it.

Ya super simple. Use a plastic pry tool of some sort and good to go. Just remember to do light coats and completely let it dry before you pop it back on the there.

For the most of us, these are everyday drivers, just want to dress up the truck a bit. run the forest service roads. no serious hard core off roading or rock crawling. So, my opinion is , if you plan on the hard core stuff, buy the best you can afford.
Another note , I bought a set of AEV Pintlers on my Jeep. 3 out of 5 wheels cracked under moderate off roading. AEV is supposed to be built for the rough stuff. Maybe just a bad set ? I would love to have a set of the KMC beadlocks for my Jeep , but the budget wont allow it.

Again , just MY opinion .........

It helped your truck because the driveshaft angle improved.

To lessen axle wrap change the rear leaf springs to aftermarket. After the springs have been changed axle wrap can be further lessened with a traction bar(s).

Axle wrap is the axle twisting and there's nothing that can be done to a driveshaft that can change the amount of axle wrap.

most likely the shutter and shake you are feeling are because your driveline is not properly aligned. which usually happens after a lift the driveshaft is at greater angles causing vibration (usually during takeoff from a stop). carrier bearing drop does exactly that it lowers your carrier bearing to help keep the driveshaft in a straighter line after lifting the rear. A single piece drive shaft is usually the best way to remove all shutter on take off as it removes the carrier bearing from the equation.

To help axle wrap DG92071 hit it on the head, stiffer rear leaf packs, stock are notoriously weak, or traction bars like you see diesel bros put on their trucks.

Fall oil change today and decided to bleed the brakes for the first time since owning my 15, 5 years now. Not bad looking fluid.

Ah gotcha. I mean it definitely helped none the less. I’m still trying to find new leafs to mitigate any and all wrap. My pea brain thought blocks would be smart and I quickly learned that wasn’t true:boom:
