that's the trailing stop....
It's how you lock in profits...
BUT one thing is on very volatile options with shares swinging you might have a call priced at $75 so you set a $10 trailing stop...that means when the call falls $10 from whatever the highest price is it sells at market....
So that $75 goes to $78,79,81 and then starts dropping...so your sell price of $81-$10 is now $71....so let's say it falls to $71 and executes a market sell...if it's falling FAST that market sell at $71 might FILL for $66 or thereabout...So just watch out.
