Still got a long way but this gonna be the biggest ticket item. Buying 4WU’s full kit minus coilovers which I already have

Yeh a bit out of practice though. Been tossing around the idea of having @Mynameisbrandin do it at SSO. Really like the work I’ve seen em do. Still undecided. Turns out when you have a full time job you have less time to fuck with trucks. Who would’ve thought.

To the truck driver who dropped his payload on 35, I want to have sympathy for you but 3 hours later…. Fuck that dirt, man.

Getting serious about gearing my truck to do some Overlanding. Got a rooftop tent for cheap from my company but still deciding how I want to mount it on my bed.
    Deciding on either:
    1. Diamondback with a low-profile T bar to mount the tent on.
    2. Go with a higher/maybe cab-height bed rack like a CBI bed rack.

Nice nice, I'd love to go to Moab one day.

My truck is such a pig probably cost a million bucks to drive it there

I'd go with a lower profile if I was to do it but that's just me.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards that as the youtuber Last Line of Defense had a pretty practical setup that wasn't too hard to take off when not overlanding. Plus I think the diamond back would get good use while I'm not going on road trips(plus it looks sweet).

I've got this hankering to swap out my Tacoma for a Tundra, before the 2022s arrive. That'd be dumb, right?

With zero interest in going back to a 4Runner, I'm kinda debating going Tundra or camper shell on the Tacoma.

I've never really been interested in a Tundra (or more interior space, in general) until this past summer. As wifey and I drove across this US going to bike races, it was nice being able to just throw shit in without having to think about how to make most efficient use of space. I kinda got the same feels when driving around her dad's Tundra. Made the mistake of looking at trade-in value for my truck and was kinda like "....oh. wow. well that's more than I had anticipated."

Obviously, the correct answer is one of each, but I don't see that happening.

Tundra has the worst gas mileage in the full sized truck market. That's the only con I know

My Tundra pounds a tank of gas quicker than Mike and I polish a handle of fireball on the trail and I drive like a grandma on the road

MPGs is a concern. Not sure I’d be able to ignore that. My only real hangup, to be honest.

I love the tundra but it’s mpg is surprisingly bad. Took over two full tanks to get to and from Lubbock (600ish miles) cruise control on 84 the whole way there.

The big kicker with the NEW Tundra market at least, is that new 4x4s are non-existent in TX right now. I have literally TWO 4x4 2021s coming in... both sold at several grand over MSRP. I've got 4x2 Tundras coming out of my ass though, and we've dropped those back down to invoice minus rebates. They're impossible to sell right now, and they are more than half my inventory.

The 2022s are going to be a shit show. Already getting deposits at $5k over from people and we don't even know MSRP yet.
